    CHAPTER 5: FAMILIAR FEELING

    Bette’s breath hitched in her throat as soon as the recent events caught up on her. She carefully turned around and smiled as she saw Tina’s sleeping form. They had slept liked this many times before, but it was usually Bette holding Tina. The brunette couldn’t deny that it was a nice change to have the roles reversed. She reached out to the blonde, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. In her sleep, Tina rubbed her cheek against Bette’s hand. The brunette sighed and closed her eyes briefly, taking her hand away. Tina would never be hers.

    “Mmm,” Tina moaned softly in protest. She reached for Bette’s hand blindly to bring it back to its rightful place. The brunette decided she couldn’t take this any longer and she got out of bed. She went to the adjoining bathroom to wash up and get dressed. When she was done, she went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

    She was surprised by the smell of fresh coffee and a very awake Erica Hahn at the kitchen table.

    “Are you okay?” Bette asked. After all, it was only 5.30 am.

    Erica looked up and smiled. “Yeah, I’m fine. I’m not much of a sleeper, never have been. I get by with only a few hours a night, keeps me sharper. I hope you don’t mind I used the coffee machine, but I need my fix in the morning.”

    “No, of course that’s okay. You want something to eat?”

    “I decided to wait for the rest of you to wake up. I didn’t want to make too much noise and it was already uncomfortable enough to search the cupboards for the coffee.”

    “Oh – that’s no problem. I’ve nothing to hide.”

    “Yeah, well, better safe than sorry,” Erica smiled. Bette filled a cup of her own and sat down next to Erica.

    “So, you really like Addison, don’t you?” Bette asked.

    “Yeah, I do. I mean, we have our differences, but so far, we’ve managed to overcome them. It’s just… it’s a bit new to me. I’ve never had anything this serious with a woman. But it’s great, and it feels right and to me, that’s all that matters.”

    4. I love this story babe! I do think Tina’s right not to tell Bette straight away, as if she’s the only reason for Bette’s recovery it could cause problems in the future. Bette needs to be content in herself and then Tina can be an added bonus :) And we’ll work on that guest list as it’ll be a massive celebration obviously :)

    5. Love this story already… its nice to have a different story line in the pipeline. Im so sorry bette had to go through that and although Tina may be figuring out what she wants and wants Bette to get bette I feel it is for the best at the minute. But i do hope its soon she declares her love for the stunnig brunette :) great work Caramel

    6. Just found this story again and so happy that I did. Had to go back and read from the beginning to truly understand. I had forgotten it. Made myself a card for stories that don’t post often to continue to read. Love the story so much, hope Tina can give Bette some reassurance in the very near future since Addison has helped her to see that her feelings for Bette are just the same as Bette’s. They are truly in love with each other and Tina can’t admit it or won’t until she thinks Bette is on more solid footing emotionally. Personally, I don’t know how much longer Bette can keep going now that she has told Tina and Tina doesn’t reciprocate. Maybe Tina can soon. Wonderful update. Thanks for posting.

    7. Just read the five chapters of this posted story. My heart is so open for these ladies right now. It was hurting for Bette feeling her pain and for Tina for not knowing. I hope that you post another chapter of this story soon and have Tina let Bette know how she is feeling.

Just found and read this story, found it so sad and painful … Hoping Bette to feel better and able to see things differently, and I hope Tina have the courage to deal with what she feel towards Bette.Thanks for this Genner! I think it’s a new approach on Tibette which made me wonder on what’s next … :-) PPS
