Nothing Like You and I (Chapter 2) – The Hardest Part
Let’s get together sometime and appropriately catch up! The brunette uncharacteristically shouted after Alice. Helena really did want to catch up with Alice. The heiress had relocated to L.A. almost a year ago and still did not have many people she could call a friend. There had been Tina, and with Tina came the group of women in her inner circle. However, Helena never felt like they were her friends and after the final break, she was now convinced they were never really her friends to begin with. She supposed they were on loan from Bette. It was all for the best she believed. Other than caring for Tina, she didn’t really have much in common with them. Different taste in music, food, travel, fun and of course fashion. Well, all except for Alice. Helena had clearly been impressed by the reporter’s recognition of the Vintage Hermes scarf based on a cursory glance.
Excuse me, miss.
What? Helena irritably snapped at the Barista who disrupted her train of thought. He merely looked down, chagrinned, and pointed at her coffee. A smiled curled on her lips, despite being somewhat softened by her affections for Tina, Helena was proud that she still had the ability to chill a room without effort.
Later that afternoon.
*****, I can’t believe I dropped that slip. Alice chastised herself as she walked from the Mini back to her psychiatrist’s office on her lunch break. Somewhere between the clinic and her office, Alice managed to lose the prescription for antidepressants and sleep medication that Dr. Bradshaw had written for her. Still rummaging through her purse as she quickly walked into the waiting area, hoping to find it in order to avoid appearing like an incompetent fool that she was becoming since the break up, Alice was so distracted she didn’t notice an equally distracted brunette rummaging through her own purse to get a ringing cellular phone. The force of their collision almost knocked them both down.
Why the ***** don’t you watch where you’re going! Alice shouted angrily. She felt her cheeks burn even further by offender’s chuckle.
One could say the same for you Alice! I haven’t seen you in over a month and now twice in one day. Helena smiled. What are you doing here? Helena wondered. Alice was behaving odd, even for her. Despite their limited interaction, Helena had picked up from the dynamics of the group that Alice was acknowledged to be the quirky one of their gang. However, something deeper was going on with the reporter. Not only was she avoiding the Planet, and with that, her friends but here she was in a psychiatrist’s office.

Yes, you made some sense of the spoilers. Like what you’re doing with this, and love the way you’ve written Helena.

I am somewhat pleasantly surprised. You’ve taken our worse spoiler-fears and spun them into a web where it co-exists with common sense. No shots of Creativity needed for you! Post soon, please.
Just catched your story, I’m liking it. I really like to see Hell-ena in another light and maybe she needs Al for that.
Can’t wait to see how this turns out.
Thank you
this really makes the worst spoilers sound at least bearable.. can’t wait what happens next.
