    ” Simply couldn’t be happier…”

    Avery: Oh that’s just cruel!

    Bette smiled broadly. It had been a very long time since she had joked around like this and she swore to herself that she would do it more often. Smiling was something Bette could learn to enjoy.

    Alice: Oh see, now this is just ridiculous!

    Alice pointed to where Ashley stood on the balcony.

    Alice: Is she picking her nose? Seriously? Is she?

    Alex leaned over.

    Alex: Looks like she is scouring for gold.

    Alice: That’s just disgusting,

    Alex couldn’t help but agree.

    Alice: I don’t know how much longer I can take this. Look at her. She picks her nose, then lights a cigarette and then curses at no one in particular. It’s a vicious cycle.

    Alice crossed her arms and yelled toward the sliding glass door.

    Alice: BREAK THE HABIT!

    Alex: Oh wait did you see that?

    Alice: What?

    Alex: She just burped. See, she’s switching it up a bit.

    Alice: I’m running out of patience.

    Alex glanced at his watch.

    Alex: You better learn to get used to it. It’s only been 20 minutes.

    Alice: So help me god I will toss her over that railing.

    Alex: Please! Even if you wanted to you couldn’t lift her.

    Alice: Wanna bet?

    Alex: Yeah I do.

    Alice: Fine, how much?

    Alex: Next months rent.

    Alice: You couldn’t afford this month’s rent or the rent before that. If I win how the hell will you pay both of ours?

    Alice tilted her head.

    Alex: Ok fine. I’ll bet you dinner.

    Alice considered this for a moment.

    Alice: You’re on.

    Alice began walking toward Ashley when she realized just how absurd this bet was. After all what was she going to do? Go over to Ashley and ask if she could please pick her up for a moment?

    Alice: oh just forget it.

    Alex: Victory is mine! You owe me dinner!

    Alice: I do not! I called off the bet. No one won.

    Alex jumped to his feet.

    Alex: Oh contraire! You didn’t call it off you simply admitted defeat.

    Alice: Are you kidding me?

    Alex: No. I am being VERY serious. You owe me dinner.

    Alice: Well I’m not buying you dinner so get over it!

    Alex: Someone is a sore loser.

    Alice spun and headed for her bedroom.

    Alex: Where are you going?

    Alice: I need a nap.

    Alex: Well I need my free meal.

    Alice: There’s left over Chinese in the fridge.

    Alex shrugged his shoulders.

    Alex: That’ll do.

    Alice: Just don’t eat all of the lo mein.

    Alex watched as Alice began to close her door.

    Alex: Hey Al.

    Alice peeked her head out,.

    Alice: Yeah.

    Alex: What should I do with you know who?

    Alice smiled.

    Alice: Challenge her to a pissing contest. Looks like the little angel would be up for that.

    Alex spun around to find Ashley sniffing the underarm of her shirt.

    He laughed and then called out to Alice behind the closed door.

    Alex: At least she broke the cycle!

    8. Well Flair, This is almost unbearable as Tina and Bett fall further apart and Ashley gets away scott free. There demands to be payback for all this horridness and I hope that Alice and Alex get a chance to help Tina dish it out. Avery is a wonderful friend to Bette and her awkwardness was hilariously portrayed. Keep this fabulous story coming as I can’t wait to see how it all plays out. An amazing ride.
