“No you didn’t Tee but I was worried. I don’t like the idea of you walking the streets so late all by yourself.”

“Oh Bette, please. This neighborhood is safe and I’ve done this a milllion times before. I really appreciate your concern but it’s not needed.”

“Okey but next time. Let me know what time you leave and I’ll pick you up.”

“Babe please believe me, that’s not necessary. Go to sleep, I’m home. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Okey, sweet dreams.”

“You too, babe.”

“Love you.”

“Love you more.”

“Love you to the moon and back.”

“Love you to the sun and back and then further.”

“Go to sleep Tee, you’re crazy.”

“Crazy for you and about you……”

Bette and Tina fell into their routine of wishing each other goodnight and that could take them a long time. But tonight it was Bette who ended the call. She thought back on what Shane said: “learn how to share and trust your girlfriend.”

What did Shane mean? Share Tina? Never! Trust Tina. Yes, she trusted Tina but she still didn’t like the thought of Tina walking the streets alone that late. Bette fell asleep but had a bad dream, so in the middle of the night she woke up. Sweating and crying and disorientated. When she realized where she was, she shook her head and tried to remember what woke her up and why she was crying. She couldn’t remember her dream but she did rememeber it had Tina in it.

She went to the restroom. When she got back in the bedroom, she looked at the clock and stepped back in her bed. It was way too early, so she could still sleep for some hours.

Off course she overslept and woke up by the doorbell.

“I’m coming, I’m coming.” Totally disorientated she stunbled out of bed and ran to the frontdoor. It was Tina standing there.

“I was just about to kick in your door, thinking what takes you so long to open this door.”

Tina walked by Bette, calling out with a loud voice…….

“Okey lady, come on out, the real girlfriend is in the house, so you site-chick can leave!”
