“So you finally noticed that there was another person in the room?” Alice said smiling.

“Oh hush, you’re jealous.”

“Yes of course. I won’t see you tomorrow. You come here and the first one you give your attention to is my baby boy…………..”

Tina sighed and hugged Alice.

“Better?”

“For now.”

The two women spent time playing with Danny. Then it was time for his dinner, which Tina gave him. Alice watched how patiently Tina feeded her son. She was a little jealous because she could never feed him without making a mess out of things.

“How do you do that?”

“What, Al?”

“Feeding him, without making a mess.”

“Patience, my friend, patience.”

Alice rolled her eyes but watched the scene lovingly. When Danny was done eating, Tina put him in his chair so he could join his mother and friend while they were having dinner. Alice let him taste some of her food. When they finished dinner, Tina gave him his bath and put him in bed while Alice was cleaning up.

When Tina walked back to the living room, Alice was already sitting for crossfiring all her questions.

Tina looked at Alice with a broad smile on her face.

“Spill it Alice, spill it.”

“No, you spill it, tell me all about this mystery girlfriend of yours.”

Tina was about to start telling Alice how she met Bette when her phone beeped.

“Wait, let me see who’s texting me.”

By the look on Tina’s face, Alice could see that the text she received must be from Bette. She smiled, her friend was in love. Tina texted back and looked at Alice.

“Speak woman, fill me in!” Alice almost shouted while jumping up and down her couch.

Tina started to tell Alice everything about how she met Bette. They had a wonderful girls night and Tina told everthing she knew about Bette, which was not much. It was a little before midnight when Tina called it a night and left to go home.

When she arrived home she called Bette to tell her she arrived home safe.

“What’s wrong babe, did I wake you up?”
