      “Honey, we’re here. We arrived. Are you ready? Hey babe……….”   “Tina I can’t, I can’t face my sister. I’m so ashamed of what I’ve done. I lied to her. When she asked me if everything was okay, I said everything was fine. I never mentioned that I was kicked out of school and

     

    “Honey, we’re here. We arrived. Are you ready? Hey babe……….”

     

    “Tina I can’t, I can’t face my sister. I’m so ashamed of what I’ve done. I lied to her. When she asked me if everything was okay, I said everything was fine. I never mentioned that I was kicked out of school and I was a heavy drinker. Somehow she sensed it and gave me a chance to tell her but instead I lied. My mother never raised me like that.”

     

    Tina didn’t understand what Bette was referring to but she reassured her that Kit wouldn’t mind. The most important thing was that Kit would be more than happy to have her little sister back.

     

    “Hey babe, I don’t know what you’re talking about and you don’t need to explain yourself to me now. But although I don’t know your sister in person, I’m sure she’ll be more than happy to see you. And from the way Sonny talks about her, Kit sounds like a person who’s forgiving. I think that is something you need to do also. Forgive yourself, forgive your father. Try to make some memories with him while you’re here. You don’t know how long he has to live………”

     

    Bette looked at Tina with tears in her eyes.

     

    “You don’t know. One day we have to sit and I’ll tell you my history. If my sister can forgive me, she has truly grown. My sister was not an easy person and certainly not one to forgive.”

     

    “You haven’t seen her fors ome years. People do change, Bette. And women change as soon as they become a mother. Just imagine if you cannot forgive. Your child will have a very hard time……….”

     

    Tina kissed Bette softly on her lips. Bette kissed her back and before long the kiss deepened. Tina withdrew.

     

    “Baby, you have to go inside. Your sister is waiting for you and your father also.”

     

    Bette looked Tina in her eyes.

     

    “What did I do to make you come into my life?”

     

    Tina looked back at her and a smile came on her face.

     

    “Your good people Bette. Whatever curved balls life threw at you, your base was good. Your mother raised you good and I can’t help it but I have the feeling your father loved you to. He only didn’t know how to express it. The fact that he wants to see you, while being so very sick, that must mean something. If he would be that bad, I don’t think he would care. I don’t think he would try and find one of you two.”

     

    Bette took some time to digest Tina’s words. Maybe she was right. Maybe her sister and her father changed. She knew she did, so why couldn’t they?

    She let out a very deep sigh.

     

    “I’m ready, I guess…………..”

     

    She put her hand on the doorhandle but before she could open the door, the door was opened and she heard her sister’s voice……….

      • I totally agree with you. Ki’t s part was limited in the show. Kit came alive to me through the stories. I always think of Kit as a bit ghetto. A woman who knows what live has to offer. I’m happy you like her.

    6. Very good and emotional update!

      What ever happened in the past, people can change when they truly want it, and Bette did it and i believe in Kit that she isn’t the same like in the show.

      Can i admit that i am in love with your Sonny, he is fantastic and so is Tina. It is important to have people standing behind you, who support you through the bad and good times.

      • Thank you for loving Kit. In the show she was the one with all the bad luck, so in my story I want her to stand on the other side. She will be the strong one. The rock in the Porter family, with Sonny at her side.
