      Bette held her hands when she  asked the question. Tina looked at Bette and never saw her that vulnerable. Of course she would go with Bette.   “Yes babe, you didn’t have to ask me that. Tina whiped the tear stains from her face.   “Are you ready to face your father and sister?”

    “Yes, I guess I am……….”

     

    “Come on then, let’s go.”

     

    All three of them stood up and moved to the door. Sonny opened the door for them and this time they left the  building through the backdoor. Sonny led them to his limo, made them step in and told them to wait. He went back inside to tell John that they left. He also asked John if he wanted to be so kind to tell Candace that they were heading for Kit. John promised he would and shook hands with Sonny. Once again Sonny promised him that Kit would sing in his Joint. With a last goodbye, Sonny left.

     

     

    On their way

    The drive to the airport took about one hour. In the car Tina called with her boss to tell him something urgent came up and she needed some days off. Since she hardly took days off, he didn’t mind.

    Bette also made some calls. She called Big Bertha but she couldn’t reach her. So the next person she called was James. He was surprised to hear her voice. But that surprise soon turned into concern when he heard the grieve in her voice.

     

    “What’s wrong Bette? Are you okay?”

     

    “yes I am, although I don’t sound like it. Hey I do not have the time right now to tell you the whole story. But I can’t come to work tomorrow. Please tell mr. Johnson that I won’t be in. To be honest I don’t know how long I’ll be gone. Text me his number so I can call him in person to explain. To give you a little clue, I’m going to visit my father, he’s very ill I’m told.”

     

    “Okay Bette, I will. Take care.”

     

    “Thank you James.”

     

    The last person Bette called was Shane. That call was a bit longer than the call with James. She gave Shane the short version of what happened. Shane promised Bette she would go by her work to talk to her boss. She didn’t need to call him. Shane wished her all the luck she needed and hung up.

      • I totally agree with you. Ki’t s part was limited in the show. Kit came alive to me through the stories. I always think of Kit as a bit ghetto. A woman who knows what live has to offer. I’m happy you like her.

    6. Very good and emotional update!

      What ever happened in the past, people can change when they truly want it, and Bette did it and i believe in Kit that she isn’t the same like in the show.

      Can i admit that i am in love with your Sonny, he is fantastic and so is Tina. It is important to have people standing behind you, who support you through the bad and good times.

      • Thank you for loving Kit. In the show she was the one with all the bad luck, so in my story I want her to stand on the other side. She will be the strong one. The rock in the Porter family, with Sonny at her side.
