Tina called out as she opened the front door and looked around. The table was unusually set and there was lemon chicken and pasta on the table and Tina was utterly confused.

Bette appeared from the bedroom straightening her hair as she walked towards Tina and gave her a big kiss on the cheek. She took Tinas bag from her and set it down next to the couch before leading her to the table and pulled out her chair. Tina looked at Bette kind of funny but didnt say anything. Ever since their huge feud a few weeks ago both women were doing their best to let the other know what was going on and how they were feeling and stuff so Tina thought maybe this was just Bettes way of showing her she cared. Bette had a big smile on her face as she got Tina seated and ran around to sit down on her chair. She got food on both of their plates before giving Tina a huge grin.

They both smiled at each other but Tina decided since Bette had gone through all this trouble that she would let her go first. Tina waited patiently for Bette to continue.

Well you know my contact at the Met? Well he called me today saying that they were going to be hosting a new impressionist show and he wanted me to oversee it. If they like my work they may offer me a full time position. Isnt that great?

Tina saw the excitement in Bettes eyes but she could also feel the weight in the pit of her stomach. Tina chewed her food slowly before swallowing hard and responding.

The Met babe? As in the one in New York?

YeahCharles wants me to fly out there next weekend for a tour of the place and to take a look at some of the pieces in the collection. I already booked us two tickets and made the hotel reservations. What do you think?
