“Oh. I understand. I am sorry for what happened but hey, I really have to go. I have a plane to catch. Maybe we can talk more next time?” Tina offered.
“Oh. I’m sorry for keeping you. Why don’t we exchange cards so we can go for that coffee?” Eric handed Tina her business card.
“Thanks, here’s mine.” Tina offered. She really didn’t want to give out hers but Eric beat her to it. “I really have to go. I’ll see you around. Bye!” Tina said while getting on her car.
“Tina…” Eric tentatively asked.
“Yes?” Tina replied a bit impatiently.
“How’s Bette?”
“Huh? Oh, she’s doing great.”
“That’s nice. You have a safe trip.”
“Thanks.” Tina said before driving off.
Tina hurriedly got her luggage and went to the airport. She was running late and didn’t have the time to change. She slept a bit during the flight and felt refreshed when she woke up.
Tina got her luggage and was walking towards the exit when she saw Bette walking towards her. They reached each other and Tina dropped her things and gave Bette a hug.
“I missed you so much, babe.” Tina whispered while hugging Bette.
“I missed you to, Tee.”
Tina pulled back, held Bette’s face and kissed her. She didn’t care where they were. She missed everything about her and she wanted to kiss her partner.
“Get a room!” someone yelled.
The couple pulled back and laughed it off. They were in a very good mood. Nothing was going to ruin it.
“I think he’s right, Tee. Let’s go home and lock up in our room.” Bette chuckled.
“No arguments from my end.” Tina replied.
The drive home was silent but full of tender touches shared between the two. From time to time, Bette would take Tina’s hand and bring it to her lips. They finally arrive at their destination and Bette helped Tina carry her luggage.
Once inside Bette took Tina’s suit off and placed it in a hanger.
“Babe, can you check the pockets of my suit please? I think my mobile’s there.”
“Ok.” Bette proceeded checking the contents of Tina’s suit pocket.
“You’re mobile’s not here, Tina. But Eric’s business card is.”
