    THIS STORY IS INFLUENCED BY SEASON 2 SPOILERS. Helena uses her influence to gain access to Tina in the emergency room. Tina makes a choice.

    God Tina, moaned Bette knowing that she was going to have to stop this contact very soon or risk it escalating out of control, but at the same time aching for it to continue.

    Bette, I love you, Tina whispered, her eyes baring her soul.

    Bette, realizing the depth of the admission Tina had just made, embraced her tightly and replied, I am so in love with you Tina. I cant even tell you how much I love you.

    Maybe you can show me, Tina smiled shyly and lifted up to remove her shirt.

    They made love tenderly and passionately, Bette being careful to let Tina guide her and increase the intimacy at her own pace. It was an emotional journey, each woman taking the other in turn to a place that was meant for only them, a place only their love could find. Afterwards, they lay together in the bed, just staring into each others eyes. It had taken them a long time to get to this place, and words were not necessary.

    Tina drifted off to sleep in Bettes arms, the exhaustion from her trip combined with the fierce release she had just experienced overwhelming her body and mind. And Bette just stared at her beautiful face and thanked whatever turn of fate had brought this woman into her life.

    She stared at this same face now, eight years later, and wondered how she could go on without having this woman in her life. She vowed to herself that if, by some miracle, she was given the chance to love her again, she would not ever take Tina for granted. Bette tightened her grip on Tinas hand and watched her sleep.

    Christina darling, how are you feeling? asked Helena bursting in through the curtain.

    She ignored Bette and approached Tina from the other side of the bed.

    Tina, groggy from sleep, opened her eyes and smiled at her.

    Mmmmbetter, thanks, replied Tina.

    Well I am having you moved to the best room in the hospital as we speak, said Helena, leaning over and kissing Tinas mouth.

    Helena, you didnt have to do that, said Tina.

    Of course I did, you deserve nothing but the best, said Helena, and I will make sure you get it.
