    The hand pushed the elevator door open…Tina held her breath…will Bette get to have ‘dessert’?

     

    Tina no sooner asked the internal question when her phone rang. 

     

    “Baby, I’m sorry.  There was an accident on Lombard so I swung around and then ran into them doing street work.  Damn it, I just want to get to you and nothing seems to be helping this evening.  Is it too late?  Do you want to be alone and relax for the rest of the night and be together tomorrow evening?  It is getting late…you could just kick back and have some quiet time…”

     

    “I’ll relax when you get here.  I don’t care what time it is.  Just be careful.  I’ll be waiting, Bette, tonight – not tomorrow.  Okay?”

     

    “I was hoping you’d say that. Hold on, Baby.   I’ll be there.”  Damn Center City traffic, Bette mumbled.  I should start taking the bus…yeah, right, public transportation.  I don’t think so….

    Rick loved the porn comics and they were so easily hid while he was at the desk.  The other perk for working nights is that it wasn’t all that busy…well, maybe on the weekends.  Most of the people living in the Academy House condos were thirty something and weekends were playtime for them. 

     

    He looked at his watch.  8:30.  Still relatively early for the night shift, but coming close on the time that little lawyer lady will be home for the two hours…cool, maybe this is the night she’s staying alone.   Rick involuntarily licked his lips and wiped his nose.  A little info passed, some coke passed to me.  Not hard work at all.    If anyone ever finds out, he knew he’d lose his job.  Rick shrugged his shoulders at that thought…who gives a fuck.  It’s not like this is brain surgery.

    8:30. Bette pulled into her building’s parking lot, up two levels and whipped into her assigned parking space.   Having a parking space waiting for you when you came home was worth every penny of the $75 a month parking fee.

     

    She gathered her things and made her way to the garage’s elevator.  Great, it was there waiting for her and Bette was on the street in front of her building in two minutes.  She was at Tina’s building and inside her lobby in another minute.

    6. I am glad that you are back. I have missed this story. I agree with Lamentamini on the love scenes being hot and yet subtle. These two women deserve to be together and not hassled or hurt in any way.

I know that your words weave a magical and mysterious melodrama that entices and intrigues me so. I know that there is danger ahead for Bette and Tina. I know that they love and shower affection on each other as only true sould mates can. I know that this story is majestic and magnificent and entertains me at every turn.
