    The hand pushed the elevator door open…Tina held her breath…will Bette get to have ‘dessert’?

    “Want to get a cup of coffee or something stronger before heading home?” Ray asked with a leer appearing ever so slightly – but not missed by Tina.

     

    “I think you better head over to chambers before the Judge sends someone out to hunt you down.”

     

    “Yeah, I guess I better. Cya.” Ray walked over to the small food stand situated in one of the alcoves between the doors of the northwest corner.  Tina continued through the doors walking towards 15th street.

     

    Ray paid for his cigarettes.  He turned his head just in time to watch Tina go through the doors.   Such a shame.  That’s one nice-looking woman.  Smart, too.  Maybe if I could figure a way to get her into bed, she’d think again about the ‘lesbo’ thing – hell, she could bring the girlfriend…yeah, now that would be a fun night…better stay clear of those thoughts….

     

    Again, his cell phone rang.  “All right already!   I’m on my way.”  Ray yelled into the phone without even looking at the caller id to see who was calling.

     

    “A little testy, aren’t we?” the voice asked.

     

    “Hey, what’s up?” Ray asked.

     

    “Did you get a call yet?”

     

    “Not yet.”

     

    “Well, when the fuck…I thought you had an ‘in’ with this jerk.”

     

    “Well, who’s sounding a bit testy now? Listen, cool your jets.  It will happen. Lots of people would be very happy if she were out of the picture.”

     

    “All right, just stay on it and call me.”

    “Yeah, nice talking to you again, too.”  Ray said to no one on the other end and flipped his cell closed.   I don’t owe him that much…well, yeah, I do but this is a pain in my ass now.

     

    Ray was still mumbling to himself as he headed to the judge’s chambers.

    Tina stepped across the new concrete west side of City Hall and was glad for the end of another day – and yes, another day closer to the end of this trial.  She was also glad to be heading home to Bette…I better try calling her again.  I don’t want her to worry.  Taking her phone out, she hit the speed dial number for Bette as she continued to walk towards the sidewalk of 15th Street south.

    3. i hope you are ok and the crash didn’t give you hard time. THis chapter is so good but i really hope that all that bad people against Tina will be discovery soon.

    6. I am glad that you are back. I have missed this story. I agree with Lamentamini on the love scenes being hot and yet subtle. These two women deserve to be together and not hassled or hurt in any way.

I know that your words weave a magical and mysterious melodrama that entices and intrigues me so. I know that there is danger ahead for Bette and Tina. I know that they love and shower affection on each other as only true sould mates can. I know that this story is majestic and magnificent and entertains me at every turn.
