    I have changed the title a bit but it is the follow up from “Merry Christmas,Bette”, but Christams is long over so my title needs ajusting.Where will Bette be at New Year?

    Tina’s mouth opened when she saw the B , this could only be one person unless somebody tried to pull a trick on her. But she couldn’t imagine somebody doing that to her, not the ones of the gang. So it must be of Bette and the moment she thought that her heart skipped a beat. She stared at the screen, at the card with the text and the signed B x.
    Tina stood up, walked to the window, not knowing else to do. She felt confused instantly; why would Bette do this? What does she expect from her now? Is she supposed to react on it? And then what? Even in her confusion a small smile appeared on her face, she felt kind of happiness coming up inside. She could hear a radio in the hallway playing a song from Lara Fabian, Adagio. It was in French but she knew the text well and at this moment it seemed very appropriate to accompany her in her thoughts and confusion.

    When the song ended, she had made up her mind; she was going to respond on the mail. She still had Bette’s email address in her address list, she was going to respond with a same kind of message. She opened the ecard site to find an appropriate card, one that was not too smirk, sweet, too obvious or too upfront. She wanted to give a signal without showing too much how she felt. She signed the card the same way the sender had done with T x and pressed the send button. At that moment she felt some guilt, she felt she was being unfair to Freddy, but that disappeared quickly after all it was Bette who sent the first one.

    In the bedroom in Vancouver, Bette sat on the bed watching her lover with one eye and her other eye on the screen of her laptop. Freddy was packing her luggage, she was in a hurry so she was packing it all very neatly and it caused the suitcase to almost burst and not being able to lock so she was getting it all out again to repack it all. Bette felt sorry for her, she had shown that to Freddy but Freddy had been busy with her own thoughts so Bette let her do her things and kept her mouth shut. She just watched her, as a way of showing her that she felt sorry for her. Every now and then a French word came out of Freddy mouth, more like a swearing one or cursing one, showing how frustrated she was about this situation. Bette didn’t comment on it, she knew it had no sense, Freddy probably didn’t even realize that she said the words.

I was upset that Tina had said no to Bette but thank the heavens and stars for Alice. This time she was worth her wait in gold as she discovered the truth about Tina’s instant refusal and then sorted out Bette to go and look after her woman. Fabulous and fantastic. Am loving it.
