maybe i miss your body (chapter 8)
Chapter 8
Tina’s POV:
I walked along the light post lined sidewalk, my legs automatically taking me to the club I’d been to so many times before. I was supposed to meet the usual gang at the Planet, but I’d gotten there kind of late, so I’d had to park far away and walk. At least it wasn’t bad weather, so I didn’t mind the little bit of distance.
“Tina!” I heard someone call my name from behind, and I stopped and turned around to see Bette jogging up beside me. I was amazed that she could recognize me from that far away. “Hey.”
“Hey, you. Bad parking tonight, huh?” I said, walking slowly beside her so that she could catch her breath. She held my stare with a smile for a few seconds. “What?” I laughed out. “Is my hair messed up or something?”
“No.” She shook her head, still smiling. “You’re perfect.” I stopped walking, somehow hearing that differently than she had meant it. I had to be misinterpreting it. “Tina, I wanted to talk to you about something…alone. Before everyone else shows up. Or rather we show up.” I looked up at her with childish eyes, hoping with all my might that she wanted to talk about what I thought she did.
“Y-yea? About what?” Was it just me or was she standing a bit closer than normal? No, she was definitely standing VERY close.
“I wanted to talk about us.” I felt my breathe leave me as she took my hands in her own and stepped closer. Was it possible to get closer? “I miss you, baby, and I want to try again.” I closed my eyes, inhaling sharply. Did she really just say that? God, was I even alive?
I opened my eyes and looked up at her again, slowly moving my face towards hers. I felt electric shocks shoot through my entire body as our lips connected, her hands moved to my waist, and I pressed my body tight against hers. Our lips moved together, and I felt her tongue slid into my mouth, pushing against my own. My heart wounded wildly against my chest and I kept one arm wrapped firmly around her back, feeling as though my world would stop if she were to pull away. There were so many feelings and emotions coursing through me at that moment, and Bette was the one who could keep me together. I broke the kiss, my breath hitching in my throat as I wrapped both my arms tightly around her, my stomach swirling.
