Bette watched as Tina walked out of her bedroom thinking “Damn what that woman does to me!”
Tina rushed home, took the world’s fastest shower and got dressed to head into work. She walked into her office at
By the time that Tina came out from her meeting though, she was not smiling at all. She had been informed during the last part of the meeting that a problem had come up with one of the clients she had signed. They were already in the beginning stages of production and now the client was threatening to pull out. Her boss has informed her that she had to go out of town immediately to the production site to try and talk to the client and smooth things over. Her boss had told her that he didn’t know how long it would take but she might be prepared to be gone for as long as two weeks. From that point on Tina hadn’t been able to think of anything except that she would be away from Bette.
As she sat down at her desk, she started to pick up her phone to call Bette but she just put it back down. She replayed their conversation this morning in her head and hated that she wouldn’t be spending the night in Bette’s arms. She picked up the phone once more and had just started to dial when Cindy walked into her office.
Cindy (walking up to Tina’s desk and handing her a folder): “I have already made your airline reservations, your hotel reservations and there will be a rental car waiting for you.”
Tina (looking up at her because she hadn’t even told her yet to do this): “How”
Cindy (smiling at her boss): “I got a call first thing this morning and you, young lady, were running late which almost never happens. Care to share?”
Tina (blushing the pink that Bette so loves on her): “Ummmaybe later.”

If Tina is smart, she would have packed and checked in at the airport in 2 hours. Giving her enough time for her “detour” instead of sitting at her office wasting time by contemplating the dilemma LOL Sorry, I’m punctual like that, yeah I know “what a loser” I’ve heard it before LOL However, being as Bette has the exact same idea, oh hell! I loved this 29th piece of pure reading’s happiness, my talented duo, really I did.
And even if it’s pretty hard to let life’s reality brokes love’s dream – this “heaven on earth”, as so rightly said our Bette – , I cannot help but thinking that there’s nothing better than a short separation to full the fire more than ever ! Comes back are always soooo intense…
Anyway, I simply couldn’t feel an other way but sweet and positive after having fully melt thanks to this very beautiful line : “Bette knew that her newfound belief wasn’t simply about the passion that she had just shared with Tina but rather a sense of feeling love to the very center of her soul. It was as if they had crawled under each other skin and had been welcomed home there.”
… So, I’m confident : they’ll share a tender goodbye at time ! (… but if I’m too optimist now, please don’t laugh too louder and be kind ! *wink*)
