    going home

    “What are you doing baby?” Tina yelled from the bedroom.

     

    “I’m just about to finish eating breakfast honey.” Alice yelled back.

     

    Tina came down the hall, “Uhm Alice, you’re not really my baby.”  As she approached the couch she picked up a cushion and swatted the back of Alice‘s head.

     

    “I’m just doing some laundry Tina.”  Bette replied as she started yet another load of clothes in the washing machine.

     

    “Holy shit!” Tina whispered to Alice. “Do you think she knows how to do that?”

     

    “Apparently,” Alice replied as she shrugged her shoulders and smiled.  “My clothes are not in danger anyway just yours.”

     

    “Thanks Al.” Tina snapped.

     

    Tina peeked gingerly over Bette’s shoulder into the washing machine.  “Do you need any help?”

     

    “Trust me Tina I can handle a washer and dryer with the best of them now.”  She turned and kissed Tina quickly and then faced Alice.  “You need to sit down and relax baby.  Alice is going to clean up the kitchen and I’ve got the laundry under control so we’re good.”

     

    “Excuse me but Alice is going to do what? I’m not even on my second cup of coffee yet!”  Alice feigned irritation at Bette.

     

    “Then Alice and I are going to take down and box up all the Christmas decorations right Al?” Bette said as she continued to back at her.

     

    “Whatever you say princess!” Alice laughed.

    As Bette leaned over to check on the clothes in the dryer Tina wrapped her arms around her waist and laid her head against her back.  “My aren’t you turning into the quintessential domestic Goddess.”

     

    Bette stood up and turned to face the woman that she loved more than she ever thought it possible to love anyone.  “I’m turning into your domestic Goddess,” she replied as she pulled Tina into her arms.  As she held her against her she allowed her hands to gently stroke Tina’s lower back.

     

    “Good God,” Alice sighed, “don’t you two ever let up with the pda’s?”

     

    “My house therefore I believe that this would be considered a “pda” alright a private display of affection.” Tina laughed as she hugged Bette even tighter, reaching down and grabbing her ass for added effect.

    1. this was a wonderful conversation the slow process of mending together. too bad that stories on TV can’t involve conversations between characters who love one another.

    11. I have enjoyed this story from day one. I hope that you continue to write as I will continue to read. Despite the angst on the show, I hope that it does not influence you except to stay motivated in the direction that you want to take this story. The stories on this site are great, most of the time I read them as not being apart of the show but as the author’s creation. I guess what I am trying to say is that whether or not B&T survive, you can always write that they will be together. It’s your story. Looking forwaard to the next chapter.
