Love Revisited – Coming Home Part 67

She turned and looked out the window. She narrowed her eyes as if honing in on something.  The soft, reverential feel of her ‘talk’ with Tina vanishes and her hair stands on end in the primordial act of protection.  And to any ***** out there, including you Helena Peabody and Candace Jewel, I hope you remember what I’ve said.  You hurt Tina or my child, there will be no place you can hide.  I will hunt you down like the devil dogs you are.  Bette let out a breath and let go of the thoughts of these two people and any others.

    Back to work, Porter.

Susan got back to her place and just flopped on the couch.   What a day.  I better let her know what’s going on.   She flipped open her cell – *****, I better go find a phone booth – what a freakin’ pain.

There was a convenience store just a couple blocks away. There’s a phone in there.  I can get a little exercise walking, she thought.

Susan walked briskly to at least make the walk worthwhile.  She grabbed a napkin from the counter and went to the phone, wiped the mouth and earpiece and punched in the number. God, I hate public telephones.  Everybody else’s freakin’ germs.  The phone was answered on the first ring.

    “Hey.  I talked to her.”

    “Good. Very good.”

    “Yeah.”

    “And your sense?”

    “She believed me.”

    “Better than good.”

    “Okay, later.”

Susan had to make one other call and got that taken care of while she was at this phone.

Susan hung up and walked not as briskly back to her house.  Funny calling it my house – she bought it.  Called it a down payment for services rendered.  Promises of more when the job was done.  “How about a new landscaping company, Sue?”  She knew I hated being called ‘Sue’ but she also knew where I stood financially.  That’s why she approached me.  So slowly everything was falling into place.

Susan kept thinking back to one of the earlier conversations with “her” and the sheer venom in her voice when talking about Bette and Tina- well, really Bette. What a sick fuckhead, but then Susan thought of her personal reward from this and smiled.  Who cares if she’s a fuckhead?  I’ll keep up my end of the bargain – that’s all that’s important here.  She will get what she wants, Tina Kennard, and then it will be mission accomplished.  Except for that other bozo I know is trying to accomplish the same thing – she could seriously ***** this up for me.   But there’s one big difference between that beaut and me – Tina Kennard likes me and I now know she trusts me.  And that gives me one hefty advantage over bozo the carpenter.

Candace Jewel was on a jobsite.  She was growing impatient.  She also was thinking about her personal reward, but wasn’t smiling – ***** the reward already- she was tired of waiting.

a carpenter should know better – impatience causes mistakesand injury to the impatient.

    4. No, Tina!! Take the horseblinders off! Come on Shane, break out your Yoda-like tendencies. She should have a talk with Susan to feel her out. Can’t wait to see what Tina’s got up her sleeve for Bette. Great chapter rc, and have fun in Atlantic City. Good luck!!

    5. Tina is a person with a big heart there for always sees the best in people, this could hurt her in the end. I hope she wakes up and sees what is going on. Can’t wait for some B&T lovin so post as soon as you can.

    6. am i the first?!LOL~ great chapter. drama drama drama! and NOoooooooOOo Tina, don’t take the bait!!!!!! Open your eyes and mind WIDE! Is so nice of Shane for always being there 2. POst Soon!!

    7. godd chappie, I agree with every that Tina should listen to her inner ear as it warn her about Susan. The best bit of news in this chapter is the fact that Helena bought Susan’s house. This is something that Alice should be able to find out and sink her teeth into. Come on Alice, get your nosey behind to snooping!!

    8. McCutcheon Security……..Susan, this is what friends are for!………….. Tina said a silent thank you again for these people who have become her family. They’ve proven over and over again that in some cases – certainly in mine, Tina thought – friendship is so much thicker than blood.

      I rest my case!!

Bette: “Kit, you’re freakin’ me out here.”
Kit: “I just wanted to tell you I joined the club.”
      snQQpy:
      passed the fuck out!

    9. Tina isn’t quick to forget…so why is she ignoring her first instinct of Susan? She’s so naive…her heart’s so big and willing to give everyone the benefit of the doubt — that’s going to hurt her and her family in the long run. I hope she’s playing Susan…I hope she’s wiser than that. ;-) RC…thanks for the DRAMA…lol. Good luck in AC…
