    Peggy moves to offer Bette…Susan moves on our Tina…does Shane move fast enough?

     

    “What would you say to having your own gallery again?”

     

    “I’d say it would be great, but with a family now, I don’t know that I can take that chance – at least for the next two years I could have the security of the CAC.   I won’t say I haven’t thought about it. 

     

    “Bette, you did tremendously well with your gallery previously.  You’re well known and well respected in the art world.  Look, I’m not one to beat around the bush on these things.  I’d like to back you, be a silent partner, in the reopening of the Bette Porter Gallery after your contract is up with the CAC.”

     

    “Peggy, I’m overwhelmed that you would make this generous offer.  One, I’d have to talk this over with Tina.  I’m not making decisions like this without talking with her about it.”

     

    “Good.  Sounds like you’ve learned some lessons, Bette Porter.”

     

     

    “Yes, I have.  And two, Peggy, when Helena gets wind of this”

     

    “Dear, this is my business, not Helena‘s.  Something that my daughter has forgotten is that I oversee the Peabody Foundation.  She does not.  She is in the position she is in due to my putting her there.  And, remember, should this happen, I’m a silent partner.  She would have no way of knowing unless one of us tells her.  Now, that isn’t going to happen, is it?”

     

    Bette just smiled.  Of course, it wasn’t.

     

    Peggy Peabody then did one of those uncharacteristic things she seems to do now and then in Bette or Tina’s company – she reached over and touched Bette’s hand – just for a moment – then withdrew.  Much was said about Peggy’s fondness for Bette in that gesture and both women knew it.

     

    “You think about it.  My offer does not have a time limitation on it.  It will still be on the table two years from now just as it is today.”

     

    Good, Peggy, said to herself.  Now if my darling daughter somehow manipulates the Board of the CAC to buy her contract out, Bette will have something waiting in the wings.  I’ll just make the offer effective immediately.

     

    Peggy always enjoyed spending time with Bette Porter.  A bright, caring, compassionate woman – who happens to learn the lessons that Life dishes out to her.  Her thoughts went to her daughter as they were leaving the restaurant.  Dear, dear Helena.  I love you – but I sure as ***** don’t like you.

    1. I can just imagine Bette sneaking home to talk to Tina. Wouldn’t she be the one surprised if Tina turns around and cracks a plate over her head, lol. If it’s not Bette then Shane better come to Tina’s rescue. I doubt that it’s Susan…she hasn’t infiltrated the Porter-Kennard house enough yet. I’d figure she’d worm her way inch by inch until she was fully trusted before making any move.
      Can’t wait for the next update!

    5. I didn’t get a chance to comment on the previous chapter, so my thoughts for the last one and this one…As always….this story is absolutely FABULOUS…your cliff hangers are going to be the death of me yet!

      “God, T…let me turn over…let me feel you…let me touch you….”
      “Not yet, baby. We will crown the Queen my way tonight.”
      …and this was a coronation attended by only two. It went so well, they performed it twice.

      Ok, I just creamed……..I mean, screamed…..Can ya hear me now?!?

      I have to admit, he thought, it did feel rather good to stand up to Helena. The look on her face was priceless. What I’d really like to do is have her fuck me senseless – I can just feel those spiked heels walking up and down my back… ummm, if I traded the balls for breasts, I might have a fighting chance.

      Clutching my pearls… Franklin…..you FREAK!!! LOL

      As quickly as a lightning bolt passes from the sky to the ground and with the same intensity of impact, the thought…she’s not talking about plants…

      Hmmm, how come my thoughts don’t travel this fast? Im’ma have to talk with T about this.

      As long as that motion leads to Tina being under my roof again – just long enough for me to then dump her sorry ass.

      I knew this is what she had planned for Tina….Helena just can’t handle being dropped…….for Porter!
      And I sincerely hope Tina beats the shit out of whomever that is, if its NOT Bette or Shane.

    7. Your stories are great, Just loving them, always checking Fan Fiction everyday in hopes of a new story posting. I believe it is Bette with her arms around Tina’s waist. Bette needed to talk with T about her conversation with Peggy, and right away. Bette is a smart and savvy lady and knows what’s in store for her at the CAC. But let’s see where you, the writer, is taking this.

    9. RC…damn Helena is truly a B@#(h. She plans on deeply hurting both Tina & Bette. Tina should run…but she cannot leave Angelica alone…Shane is going to help her — Yoda knows something is not right. Love the drama, just cannot and do not want Bette & Tina hurt anymore…LOL.

    10. Great chapter, and I think that it is Bette who has her hands around Tina. Tina should however reframe from wearing the earbuds when she is at home alone with Angelica. As a parent you need to always be able to hear what is going on in your home. If she can or did not hear the phone ring, then how caould she hear Angelica cry out. I hope that Susan is not planting any listening devices in and around thier house. Come on Alice, get your NOSEY A** on the case, and Shane, get your butt over there and let Tina know that you called. Sorry arceextl, this is YOUR story (hee hee). Please continue.

      Has Bette detoured home and giving Tina a ‘hello, guess who?’ hug? It is someone malicious? Candace or Susan or an unknown third party?

    16. Ah, now why you gotta leave us hanging like that? Shane will bust Susan’s ass and if Bette gets a hold of her she’s done for. Please let it be Shane checking on Tina or Bette surprising her girl. No more DRAMA!
