    Author Notes:

    Truth tellin’ Testimony continues. Kelly brings her past into Bette & Tina’s present. Is the Warden picking out Faye’s jailbird suit?

     

    “What did she say to that?”

     

    “She wasn’t moving anywhere.  She wanted me to stay there with her.  She started screaming at me, how could you do this to me, how could you leave me”

     

    “What happened next, Kelly?”

     

    “We were in her apartment- we both kept our small apartments off campus – I told her it was best I just left and she could calm down a bit.  I told her I was sorry but this was something I just had to do.”

     

    “Did you see her again before you left Virginia?”

     

    Kelly hesitated.

     

    “When Kelly, when did you see Faye Buckley again?”

     

    “About two weeks later.”

     

    Nancy walked over to defense table with two items.   She showed Stan the first of two items.  Only one was going to be offered as an exhibit right now.

     

    She could almost hear him say, “***** me.”  She backed up slightly to let him show the item to his client.  Nancy saw him lean in with the photo to show Faye and she put her hand up and pushed his hand and arm away from her.  At the same time she did that, still looking straight ahead, she said “NO, I don’t want to see anything!”


    Stan handed the item back to Nancy.  and waited as the doomsday clock for his client began its death march ticking.  Try as he might, he saw no way out of this one.  He had already begun to string the verbiage together for his plea to the Judge as far as sentencing.  He hated thinking this way when a case wasn’t even over yet, but Nancy Richardson had his client’s coup de grace on the stand now, and this exhibit, and most assuredly along with whatever the next exhibit is, will most likely be the force behind the final blow.

     

    “Your Honor, I’d like this first item that I have just shown counsel marked as a State exhibit.”  Nancy handed the item to the Court Reporter and it was was marked as evidence.

     

    “Okay, Kelly.  Did something happen that you specifically remember before you next saw the defendant, Faye Buckley?”

     

    “Yes.”

     

    “Please tell the Court and Jury what happened – well, first, let me hand you this exhibit.   Do you recognize that item?”

      The trials and tribulations involved in this marvellous tale take me by surprise at every twist and turn.
      I am genuinely sitting open mouthed as I read each chapter.
      Thank you so much for taking these characters and creating a truly intriguing mystery around them.
      Alice is right that after all the heartache and pain there needs to be some light-heartedness with flippant remarks, harmless banter and gregarious laughter. Memories of these happy times get us through the rough ones.
      Given your talent I am sure there will be further exposés on the life and times of Faye Buckley.
      It is so natural that such love can turn in to pure hatred and revulsion.
      I await your next post like a child the night before the school vacation begins: full of hope and excitement for what is to come.
