    What Bette and everyone else didn’t know was the rest of this story; that is, everyone except herself, Kelly Barrett and Faye Buckley.

     


    and Faye Buckley must have been a bit nervous about what was coming, at least one piece of it, because she turned to her left and vomited.   That got Stanley Peakes his recess.

     

     

     

    Oh, Christ, Stan thought to himself, can it get any worse than this?  Of course, this witness could be lyingno, he knows Nancy Richardson a lot better than that.  She’s got way too much on the ball to put somebody on that in any way is not supported by something other than her words.  

     

    Of course, as soon as he saw Kelly Barrett walk into the courtroom he realized something big was about to happen.   Even he, though, didn’t envision this past of Faye Buckley.   He heard someone say once that those who scream the loudest in protest, have the deepest, darkest closets.  He mentally heard the loud, thunderous bang as Faye’s closet door was wrenched off its hinges.

     

    Of course, it would have been an enormous help if his damn client had even looked at the witness list, now wouldn’t it?  She says God will be the only witness she needs.  Guess what, Faye, I do believe God has other commitments today.

     

    Well, at least her vomiting got me a recess.   A lot of ***** good it does me.  She still won’t talk to me or tell me anything.

     

    Court officers got the courtroom cleaned up and the Sheriff’s officers took Faye out and got her cleaned up.

     

    Stan turned to Faye.  “Faye, is this true?  Is what this witness testifying to the truth?  You’ve got to let me know.  Tell me what happened here.”

     

    Faye had her hands clasped in front of her.  “Leave her alone.  Just leave her alone.”

     

    Stan got the answer to his question as to whether it was the truth or not.  He didn’t know who the members of the Coalition for Concerned Citizens would want to string up more at this point, Kelly Barrett or Faye Buckley.  He had a feeling it would be both of them.

      The trials and tribulations involved in this marvellous tale take me by surprise at every twist and turn.
      I am genuinely sitting open mouthed as I read each chapter.
      Thank you so much for taking these characters and creating a truly intriguing mystery around them.
      Alice is right that after all the heartache and pain there needs to be some light-heartedness with flippant remarks, harmless banter and gregarious laughter. Memories of these happy times get us through the rough ones.
      Given your talent I am sure there will be further exposés on the life and times of Faye Buckley.
      It is so natural that such love can turn in to pure hatred and revulsion.
      I await your next post like a child the night before the school vacation begins: full of hope and excitement for what is to come.
