When they got to the hospital and into the emergency room, Dr. Wilson was there to meet them.  She had been there earlier this morning delivering someone elses child who decided it wanted out early.  

She examined Tina and said, Well, Tina, this little girl wants to meet her mommies early.   Were going to take you upstairs now.  Bette can stay with you until we get upstairs.  Okay?

Bette was holding Tinas hand and kept holding it as they got onto the elevator.  They got off, took Tina directly into the delivery room and the nurses took Bette to a room and gave her a hospital gown and hat.   They took her right into the delivery room.   It was happening so fast, it felt like a dream.

Bette went right to Tinas side and took her hand.  Bette, Im scaredI want her to be okayplease tell me its going to be okay… Tina clamped down on Bettes hand so hard when a contraction hit, she thought she had another broken hand.  Its going to be okay, baby, Dr. Wilson said this little girl wants out now  Several more contractions hit and Tina said, I hope its soon because this freakin hurts.  Bette really knew now she was going to have another cast on her left hand. 

This went on for about 40 minutes when Dr. Wilson said, the babys head is crowning, Tina.  Shes almost here.  When I tell you to push, give it all youve got.    And in about five minutes, a wailing baby girl entered the world.  Bette cut the cord with tears streaming down her face, only matched by the tears of joy from Tina.   

The nurses cleaned the new one up and brought her over to Tina.   Bette leaned down and kissed Tina and said, Thank you, T, for giving us our girl.  I love you.  Shes beautiful – look, shes beautiful.  Name, a name, we didnt think of a name!

The nurses took the baby to do whatever they do and told Tina shell be taken to a room and the baby brought to her shortly.
