Carmen knew she would pick up on that, her heart was breaking as she knew Shane’s was “Yeah I loved you with all my heart Shane. Every fibre of my being. Now my heart is still broken, its gradually getting mended”
“By Amanda.”
“Yes, I wont lie to you, she has been a huge help. It helps that she understands me.”
“I understood you”
“Shane I thought you were happy for me?” Carmen sighed.
“Well I guess I lied then” Shane mentally cursed her self…. “I’m sorry Carmen, I really am happy for you. Just jealous. I still love you, I don’t think I’ll ever stop”
Carmen sighed “You have to try Shane. I know it won’t be easy, but you have to try. Take care Shane. I’ll speak with you later but I have to go”
“Bye Carmen”

Carmen and Shane shut the phone at the same time, wiping tears away from their eyes as they fell. Neither knowing that both of their hearts were breaking at the exact same moment.

Shane stood up hastily, knocking the chair over in the process. Shrugging sheepishly she walked back into The Planet and handed the phone back to Alice.
“Thanks Al.”
“That good eh?” Alice commented as Shane sat down on the chair and stared off into space.
“She doesn’t love me anymore”
“She said that?” Bette asked throwing a curious glance at Alice who shook her head.
“Yeah, she mentioned that she loved me. Loved as in past tense. I can’t blame her though can I” Shane replied remembering the conversation she had had with the girls before Carmen rang. “I left her, made Alice dump her for me, ran off for god knows how long and I have the right to be angry at the fact that she has a girlfriend.”
“Shane”
“No Bette, I deserve this. Nothing in my life has gone right why would it now?” Shane shrugged then stood up “Look I’m going to head into Wax. I’ll see you later”

Shane rushed out of the planet not looking where she was going.

“Was that Shane who nearly collided with me?”
Bette and Alice looked up “Yeah Helena it was.”
“I guess she isn’t over her as she would like us to believe”
“So what has been happening while I was a way?” Helena asked as she sat down next to Alice, as they filled her in with everything they knew.
