Back to Bette and her mother…

“I wanted to tell them but I didn’t want anything to happen between them and your father.”

“Its okay mom you don’t need to explain. I understand.”

“Liz I was just…”

“Mother, really its okay, I just hope that one day we will meet one another.”

“You will, I’ll make sure of that.”

“Good”

After the zoo they ate and they were tired so they decided to call it a day.

“Mom can we go with grandma?”

“Becky I don’t think…”

“Oh mommy please? We will be good.”

“Aidan, I’m sure your grandmother doesn’t…”

“Doesn’t mind at all, Liz”

“Please mommy?”

“What do you think Tina?”

“I’m sure they will be fine if you are absolutely sure Maxine.”

“I am more than fine with it Tina.”

“Okay I will…” Alice butts in.

“Okay great, why don’t I take you and the kids since your hotel is on my way home Maxine.”

“That would be lovely thank you very much.”

“Don’t mention it. And Bette why don’t you take Tina home, I don’t have enough room for everyone you know.”

Bette was beginning to figure out what Alice was trying to do and she always did not like being set up.

“Sure”

“Great”

“Alice wait”

“Tina everything is taken care of. They will be fine. We have to get going, talk to you tomorrow okay?”

They all get in the car and before they drive off Alice winks at Tina and she motions her to call her. All of them wave good bye and so does Bette and Tina. After they leave its just the two of them.

“So you ready to go?”

“Um sure, yeah.” Tina was nervous but little did she know so was Bette. They both get into the SUV and drive home.

“It was a good day today.”

“Yeah it was.”

“The kids had a great time.”

“I think we all did.”

“Yeah I had fun.”

It was just small talk all the way to Tina’s house. They pulled up and Bette put the SUV in park.
