Love in the South – Chapter 12

    Previously…

Bette reached in her pocket and turned her cell phone on.  A few seconds later, her cell phone started going berserk.  She checked her voice mail.

“Hey baby sis.  I’m coming a day early.  Where are you?”

“Hey baby sis.  I’m flying out now.  Where are you?”

“Hey baby sis.  I’ll be in New Orleans in two hours.  It’s 8:30 a.m. here.  Where are you?”

Bette looked at her watch to see what time it was.  “Shit, T!  We’ve got to go to the airport.  Kit came early.  She should be there any minute.”

“O.K.,” Tina said, turned the van around and headed to New Orleans Airport.

    TBC…

Kit got a call from the airline and her flight had been changed a day early.  She called Bette’s cell phone, but only got her voice mail and left her a message she was coming in a day early.  She called Bette’s cell phone again when she got to the airport and left another message for Bette that she was getting on the plane, coming a day early, and she better meet her at the airport.  Kit boarded the plane and got comfortable for the flight.  The flight was going to be four hours and non-stop so she made her necessary comfort zone.  About halfway into the flight, she called Bette’s cell phone again and left another message.  This time she seemed worried.  She knew her baby sis was a busy person, but Bette has never not returned her call back within a five-hour period.  An hour later, she picked up her cell phone again.

“Hey Kit,” Alice answered her cell phone.  Shane threw her pillow over her head.  Alice was too chipper this morning for some reason.

“Hey girl!” Kit answered back.  “Boy am I glad I got a hold of you,” Kit sounded worried.

Alice shot up, waking Shane up for sure.  “What’s wrong Kit?”

“My flight got changed to a day early and I need a ride from the airport.  I called Bette’s cell three times, but kept getting her voice mail.  I left three messages over a five-hour period and have not heard back from her.  That’s not like Bette.  I’m getting worried,” Kit said.

“I’m sure Bette is O.K.  You know how she gets when she’s busy.  She’ll call you back,” Alice consoled.  “Me and Shane will be more than happy to come pick you up from the airport.  When does your plane land?”

    1. I kept picturing Shane thinking about touching Alice’s ass. It reminded me of an episode of “The Wonder Years” when Kevin kept trying to put his arm around Winnie but would stop. Too cute and funny! LOL

    2. Very interesting pairing of Alice and Shane. I think that I will like it more than the usual Alice and Dana pairing. Everyone is in for a shock. The gang and Kit will be shocked that B&T have thier family together, Kit and B&T will be shocked to see that Alice and Shane are “Getting something started”.
