“Tina, I have no doubt that you are qualified to fulfill the duties as the post production assistant this summer.  The question that remains to be seen is can you fulfill your duties under me?”  Helena asked, fully aware of the double entendre she has just posed to the sexy undergrad.

Tina did not take the bait.

“Helena, I have every confidence that my hard work and dedication will produce projects you will be proud to attach your name to.  As for having you as a boss, I don’t anticipate any difficulty as long as we focus on making each project the best we can make it with the budget we have, there shouldn’t be any problems right?”  Tina replied, making it clear that this would be a strictly professional interview.  This made Helena smile.  There is nothing more attractive than a sexy woman asserting herself.  Maybe this little project won’t be so bad after all.
 
“You know Tina, in this business, your name and reputation are valuable commodities.  You never want to get the reputation as being difficult to work with.”  Helena said while staring at Tina’s lips.

“I know that.  I also know that you are only as good as your last project.  While the last 3 projects this studio has done opened to a luke warm response, Starlight studios, who I have an interview with tomorrow, has been on fire.  My passion for the work and my skills will help turn things around, if I am given the chance.”   Tina gave a fake smile to Helena, letting her know that her little studio was not the only game in town.

Helena understood that Tina was not the same girl from high school. This was a woman, who was confident and sure of herself.

        I wonder if Bette is still in the picture.  

As Tina rose to exit she answered Helena’s unspoken question.

“Thanks for considering me Helena.  Bette will be so surprised to hear that you may be my boss this summer.”  Tina offered her hand and Helena shook it grudgingly.

“How is Ms. Porter?  Is she still playing basketball?  I seem to recall something about her being traded.”

“She is great.  The Sparks have wanted her since she was in high school, so when her contract with NY was up, they made an offer.  Two players went to NY and Bette is coming back home.  We’re still going strong.  She’s going to trip when I tell her you own the studio.”  Tina wanted to make sure Helena knew that Bette was still very much a part of her life.
