“Bette you can’t let one experience sour you on all others.”

“I know that now T.  I love women.  I find them so sexy and alluring.  I appreciate what makes us such complex creatures.  So when I see a beautiful woman such as yourself, I usually show that appreciation in a physical way.”

“So that’s why you hate Helena, but why have you been a jerk to me?”

“Don’t you think you can have an emotional connection with a sexy and alluring woman in addition to a physical one?”

“Yeah I think so.  I guess I’m just waiting for the right one to make herself known.”

“Well maybe she has and you are to busy being an arrogant jerk to notice her.”

“Ok, rookie I get it.  Come on, lets get physical.”  Bette smirked.

“You seem awfully eager to get your ass beat Porter.”

“Promises, promises.”

“You ass.”  Tina says playfully punching Bette on the arm.

Bette and Tina are tied at 8 in a game to 10.  Tina has the ball at the top of the key.  Bette is daring Tina to shoot the ball to take the lead.

“You know for such a confident shooter, you seem a little hesitant.  What’s the matter TK?”

“Oh Porter, your trash talk won’t get to me.  I think you’re afraid I will challenge your defense as I do this.”

Tina faked right and went left, took two steps toward the basket, spun around Bette and went up for the shot.

Bette recovered and went straight up with her long and deflected the shot.  Both girls ran after the ball and collided and fell with Tina landing on top of Bette.

“You don’t have to use a game of basketball to feel me up, T.”  Bette said and wiggled her eyes at Tina.

Tina looked up and saw the huge hickey on Bette’s neck.  She moved off of Bette and replied.

“I see you have plenty of people willing to do that for you don’t you Bette?”

Bette realized she saw the hickey.  Tina tried not to let her jealousy get the best of her but seeing that mark on Bette’s neck set her off.

“Take the ball out Bette.”

“Tina why are you getting so upset?”

“You know what Bette you’re right.  You can do what the hell you want to do.  So take that damn ball out.”

“Tina, will you forget about the fucking game and talk to me.  Please.”

Tina walked over to the bench on the side line.  Bette  followed her sat down next to her.

“Tina, what’s going on?”

“Bette you told me you liked me.”

“I do like you T.”

“Then tell me how you can be screwing around with someone else one day and flirting with me the next.  How does this work for you Bette?  Will I just be another notch on your belt?”  

“No Tina!”  Bette yelled.

“Don’t yell at me, Bette.”

“Well Tina you just accused me of being a user like that bitch Helena.

Tina got up and started walking back toward the car.  Bette  counted to ten before walking the few yards to her car.

Bette knew that she was going to need to be 100% real with Tina in order for this to go anywhere.  At this moment Bette is no longer worried about the outcome of the season.  She just wants Tina Kennard.  She finally made it to Tina and look into eyes.  They both had unshed tears there.

“I’m sorry.” Bette said sincerely.

“Me too.”  Tina really hated to fight with Bette.  “What do you want Bette?”

Bette came closer to Tina and looked her straight in the eye and said, “You.”
