    Life’s Lessons – Chapter Two

“I won’t do it again, Mom.” Esther had to suppress the urge to roll her eyes; she was too tired to argue with her mother right now. Cyrus and Tina looked at each other, having a silent conversation about the two art freaks. Tina knew Bette was being a little hypocritical because when she had a show, she stayed up 2-3 days in a row.

“Tonight is family night. Don’t forget.” Tina said to them all.

“You know I’ll be there.” Cyrus reacted.

“Me to, but Selena… I don’t know.” Esther told Bette and Tina.

“Yeah, we know. She’ll probably want to go out.” Tina answered.

    Selena walked in. “Yep.”

The brunette was already dressed in a jean skirt and pink tank top with a lot of bling-bling everywhere.

“Why don’t you just come, sis? I mean, it’s been at least a month. The Aunts miss you.” Cyrus tried.

“Cy, please, just shut up. I don’t want to go. They’ll probably all lecture me again. I’d rather go out. Victoria and I are going with the boys.” Selena said, also taking some breakfast.

Bette and Tina looked up at the same time and glared at her daughter.

“What? We’re just going to have fun, Mom.” She rolled her eyes.

‘What kind of fun?’ Tina thought.

“Be careful, okay?” Bette asked concerned.

“Yes, mother, I’ll be careful.” Selena said overly dramatic.

Esther looked at her sister and shook her head. She had seen her sister change from loving and caring to hard and cold. She totally shut herself off from the family. She knew why but wasn’t planning to tell anyone. Selena would be mad and ashamed…

“I think I’m just going to do homework and watch some T.V. today.” Cyrus announced.

“I’m gonna draw, I just need to get that man’s face right.”

“Can we please stop ‘sharing’ every damn thing about our lives?” Selena asked.

Tina and Bette frowned together with her siblings. Most of them wondered what the 17-year-old’s problem was. Selena sighed and stood up and left the kitchen.

“I’m going to Vicky.” Selena announced while walking to the front door.

“Selena, you left half of your breakfast.” Tina said.

“Yep, that’s correct.” Was Selena’s response before walking out.

The rest of the family looked at each other and shook their heads.

    1. Man if I pulled a stunt like that my parents would kick my ass! B n T are very patient, I wonder what the heck happened to Selena, Esther should tell them for her sister’s sake

    2. It’s always one bad seed in the bunch, sigh what are they gonna do with her, but more importantly what is going on so bad she has to be disrespectful towards her loving parents, can’t wait to see
