“But I don’t have school.” She mumbled.

“I know but Mom and I have to work, and you are going to make me late.” Tina said. She pulled the cover off of Jess and pulled an out fit out of the closet. “Please get up and get ready”

“Okay.” Jess grumbled getting out of the bed.

“Thank you” Tina said walking back into the bedroom to get finish getting ready.

Jess sat down on the porch step and waited for Tina to come. Bette had left for work early she was meeting with a big art collector and wanted to get prepared.

“Do I really have to sit at your office all day?” Jess asked as Tina hurried past her to the car. Jess got and followed.

“No You are going to the Planet like you wanted. Kit and Marina said that they would watch you.” Tina said. Kit had become Marina partner two months earlier.

“Yesss.” Jess said opening the SVU door.

Tina pulled out of the driveway.

“Mama can we get the tree today and decorate it?” Jess asked from the back seat.

“I don’t know Mom and I are really busy with work. If we can both get off a descent hour today then we will see.” Tina said.

“Promise?” Jess asked.

“No promise I said we would see.” Tina said.

“But Christmas is only 2 days away.” Jess said.

“I know I said we will see.” Tina said. They pulled into the unloading zone at the Planet. “Okay lets go.” Tina opened the car door for Jess because of the Child Locks. Jess jumped out of the car and they hurried into the Planet.

“Hey Aunt Kit.” Jess said climbing on a bar stool at the counter.

“Hey baby girl.” She replied.

“Hey Kit thanks so much for watching her today. I am so swamped.” Tina said handing Kit Jess’s book bag.

“Don’t worry about. We love having Jess here.” Marina said walking up beside Jess. Tina looked at her watch.

“Oh shit I am now officially late. I have to go.” She said kissing Jess on the head. “You behave and no sugar after 3. Thanks again.” She walked swiftly out of the building.

“So what would you like for breakfast Kiddo?” Marina said.

“Pancakes!” Jess said happily.

“Coming right up” Marina said. Kit smiled.

“Aunt Kit can I ask you a question?” Jess asked.

“You just did.” Kit teased her. “Go ahead.”

“Does Alice and Coach Lilly think that I can’t see them over there hiding behind the menus?” Jess said smiling looking at them. Kit laughed.

“Maybe.” She said.

Bette walked in the planet around 4.

“Hey kiddo are you ready to go?” She said looking at the Christmas picture that she was hanging up in front of the cash register.

“Only if we are going to get a Christmas tree.” Jess said

“Well as a matter of fact we are.” Chris said walking up beside Bette.

“Uncle Chris!” Jess said jumping into his arms. “What are you doing here?”

“We decided to come down a day early for Christmas.” Ryan said holding their newly adopted son from China.

Tina walked into a living room filled with Christmas decorations and people.

“Hey everyone.” Tina said with a smile.

“Hey sis” Chris said giving her a hug and handing Tucker to her.

“I believe he has grown an inch since I last saw him two weeks ago.” Tina said.

“We all decided to crash your tree decorating party” Alice said handing Tina a glass of wine.

“We figured it was our tree to. We are all going to be on Christmas with you guys.” Shane said.

“Yeah we all took a vote, and decided to share yours.” Dana said hanging a red ball on the tree.

“You are getting that big family Christmas that you wanted after all honey.” Bette said.

“In that case I am glad we they finished the room upstairs last week.” Tina said.

“Yeah now you all can stay and be here when Santa comes.” Jess said.

“Yeah It will be one big party with gifts.” Bette said. It took awhile but eventually every one agreed to camp out in Jess’s new room on Christmas eve.
