“April 25.” Bette said.

“Wow that’s five days before Jess’s birthday.” Ivy said.

“That would be a cool birthday present.” Shane said.

“I think so but I am not sure she does.” Bette said.

“Okay I think we are ready to eat.” Tina said putting the last dish on the table. Everyone gathered around the table and sat down.

“Wow girls everything looks so beautiful.” Kit said

“Thanks.” Tina and Mimi said. Tina fixed Jess’s plate. After Dinner everyone dragged themselves to the living room. The phone rang. Jess beat Tina to the phone.

“Hello?”

“Hi Kelly.”

“No I can’t my mom won’t let me.”

“I know she is being a total.” Jess got a look from Tina.

“Listen I gotta go I see you at school on Monday.”

“Okay bye.” She hung up the phone and walked back into the living room.

“I still don’t understand why I can’t go.” Jess Said.

“Drop it” Bette said.

“Jess have you decided what you want to do when you stay with us after the wedding?” Ivy asked.

“No I don’t care.” Jess said sitting down beside her.

The rest of the evening was spent talking about the wedding, the baby, and the weekly gossip by Al.


The Grace Academy

Jess and Kelly sat in their desk passing notes back and forth.

I can’t believe they decided to have a baby with out talking to you.

I know it totally sucks.

What are you going to do?

There isn’t much I can do. I just hope it isn’t born on my birthday. I don’t want to have to share that too.

That would totally suck.

Yep when I think about it isn’t totally bad. I have the team and I get to spend more time up at the ranch with Aunt Alyssa.

That’s good. I can’t wait for practice this afternoon.

Why?

Because we get to watch the Sr. Team play against the Cougars.

I almost forgot.

How could you forget it so much fun watching them.

I know I said almost.

“Jess what is that?” Ms Henderson asked.

“Nothing” Jess said shoving the paper into the back of her book.

“Bring It to me.” She ordered. Jess rolled her eyes and walked to the front of the class with the note. Ms. Henderson looked at it. “Both of you in the hall please.” Kelly joined Jess in the hallway.

“Girls you know that you are supposed to paying attention in class.” She said.

“yes ma’am we won’t do it again we promise” Jess said. She was getting quite skilled at staying out of trouble

“promise” Kelly added.

“I don’t think you really mean it.” Ms Henderson said.

“We do we swear.” Jess said. She was quickly becoming the ring leader.

“I think that you two should think it over in detention for the rest of the day. Now go get your books and go down the hall to the detention room.” Ms Henderson said. The girls returned in a moment with there books and walked down the hall to the detention room.

They opened the door.

“Well back again are we.” Ms. Black said. Jess smiled.

“We just couldn’t stay away.” Jess said sitting down in the second row. Ms. Black smiled.
