Previously:
“Well honey Tina and are going to get married.” Bette said calmly hoping that Jess wouldn’t get upset with another change. She had been doing well. There was a silent pause while everyone waited for her reaction.
“Cool. Does that mean that Tina is going to be my mom too?” Jess asked.
“Only if you want me to be.” Tina said touching Jess’s nose.
The Raven Stadium- A Year Later.
Alyssa, Kate, Bette and Tina sat in the stadium watching the two teams shake hands at the end of the game.
“You guys are coming to Jess’s birthday party Saturday aren’t you.” Tina said.
“Yeah absolutely.” Alyssa said. They stood and headed out of the stadium.
“Bette you said you had something you wanted to talk to us about?” Kate said. Bette gave a half smile and looked nervously at Tina.
“Yeah. As you know Tina and I getting married at Christmas.” Bette said.
“We know Congratulations by the way.” Alyssa said.
“I wanted Tina to legally adopt Jess before then. I wanted to make sure that it was okay with you guys because you all are and will always be apart of Jess’s life.” Bette said.
“I think that it would be a good idea.” Kate said.
“What about Julie?” Bette asked.
“Don’t worry about her. After Jess’s last visit she decided that she didn’t want to a full time grandmother or part time grandmother for that matter. She went back to England last week, and I doubt she will be back any time soon.” Kate said.
“We would still like to get Jess during those visitations if you don’t object.” Alyssa said.
“I would never keep you guys from her.” Bette said smiling at Tina.
“We would really like for you guys and your brothers to come to court with us next week.” Tina said.
“And to the party afterwards.” Bette said. Tina’s cell rang. She answered and walked away from the group. Jess came out of the club house.
“Hey kiddo. You played a great game.” Alyssa said.
“Thanks Aunt Alyssa.” Jess said handing Bette her Bat Bag.
“I really like that home run you got in the fourth inning.” Kate said. Tina walked up.

Jess and that Game Boy. lol Glad to see Julie didn’t contest the adoption. They all deserve a big group hug. :)
This is a sweet story and it’s so nice to read about a happy family, but I think you’re going too fast and leaving out things that would’ve been great to read about like their engagement party and their summer trip to Tina parents….but that is just me, I want it all LOL…..looking forward to the next post
i am really happy for Tina she loves Jess very much. i like the interaction between families and the game boy it`s a funny topic. great chapter post soon.

Great job, but I can’t believe that you let the Gameboy gag go. I really would liked for the judge to say “Now in regards to the Gameboy issue (looking at Jess), good try kid but no dice. I sorry to inform you that I have no juridiction over your Gameboy usage at the present time.” and everyone in the courtroom but Jess laughs. As Jess frowns, both B&T kiss and hugs her. Just my little dream, I love this story, please continue. :o)
Gosh thatwas really beautiful and for the Judge to have one of Andy’s paintings and Jess recognized it,sealed the deal for the Judge. And like hansen and the others I want to read it all as well. You could probably tell it in flashback now thath the adoption has gone through. Tina thinking about all that led up to the adoption day in court. Thanks for the post.
