    Rosita gives Alice some advice and Alice does the same – Tina tells Cassandra what happened in the elevator with Bette, and Cass has her own secret – Kit, Jenny, Marina and Ivan talk – Quin does something very unQuin like –

    Life: Altered 03.57 ~*~ Lies

     

                “So she went off with Rosita and Alice?” 
    Tina asked, cleaning up it was 7pm, and the small party had wound down
    about 20 minutes before.  Only     Shane and Dana remained, both lounging by the
    pool.      Tina had asked them to stay, and they’d
    agreed readily.  Now they sat by the
    pool, feet in the water talking and kissing every so often.

     

                “I think Alice was a bit freaked out that Quin had gone
    out on a date with     David.  I was freaked
    out by it imagine her girlfriend.” 
    Cassandra asked and     Tina scoffed.

     

                “They need to tell her that she was
    with     Alice.” 
    Tina said harshly, not liking that Dr. Summers had told them to allow her to forge her
    own new reality.  The reality was that
    she’d been in love with     Alice, head over heels and now this?  It was bull. 
    This was a straight man trying to get a woman to come back to the good
    side of the force as they might call it. 
    She didn’t trust Marty Summers one bit.

     

                “Tina…” 
    Cass began, having wanted to try to tell her
    what had happened the day of the earthquake, but with Quin’s death, then her
    resurrection, she’d been unable too.  It
    was weighing heavily on her, especially after seeing how loving     Bette had been with Candace all afternoon. 

     

                “I know I should shut up.  I just, I hate to see Alice hurting like this.  She’s been such a good friend to me.”  Tina said sighing as she watched Shane lean over and kiss Dana who smiled into the kiss.  What the surprise couple they were, if
    someone had told her a year ago that     Dana would be with Shane, and that she and Bette would have gone their separate ways,
    she’d have clocked them.  Now, she didn’t
    quite see how things could have gone any other way. 

     

                “They are cute together aren’t
    they?”      Cass asked and Tina nodded, moving over to Cass and hugging her tight.  She had to be honest with Cass; she had to tell her about the elevator.

     

                “During the earthquake…”  Tina began and Cass‘s eyes went wide, Jesus she knew?

     

                “Tina…” 
    Cass cut in, feeling the threat of tears in
    her green-rimmed blue eyes.

               

                “No. 
    Look.  In that elevator, when I
    thought I was going to die….  I kissed     Bette.” 
    She confessed and     Cass moved away from her, mouth open and Tina began to explain.  She didn’t want Cass having to much time to think.

    2. At least David is questioning the situation, I hope he puts a stop to whatever might happen next. FINALLY! Alice decides to fight for Quin. Hope she can remind Quin of what they once were to eachother. Loved Tina’s line “what is it about the carpenter” Anyone in her position would think the same thing. Rapid posting, I love it.

    3. I know I need to get up earlier……better yet, maybe I should get a life. HA! LOL….To answer your question, I read The Gathering, which was also awesome…..Most definitely looking forward to reading again. I always commented, but under a different name. Anyway, thanks for posting….always entertaining

    4. JADED, I finaly found you. Where the hell are the story you’ve written before. What happen? JadedRogue is not even listed anymore. Well at least you started all over again with my fav story. Now I have to read it all over again. And for the new reader. Buckled your seat belt, your on for one hell of a good ride. And by the way, you, new reader are luck like hell to have lot’s of chapter at the same time. I had to wait a week for an update last year when Janet first post this great story. ~wink at you Jaded~

    5. Doesn’t David know Quin is supposed to be gay??? Taking her back to his appartment, what is he thinking? Anyway, I loved both confessions of Tina and Cass, I really thought hell was yet again about to break loose. But they handled it very well. Wonder what plan Alice will come up with to get Quin back!
