– Why not? –Said the lanky girl, clenching her jaw and abruptly looking at the latina- Is not my fault if you and your girl were all over eachother in there. I didn’t want to interrupt.

– What? –Said a puzzled Carmen- I wasn’t doing anything

– That wasn’t what it seemed to me –Sharp as a razor and cold like ice, again her head spun in other direction-

– Anyway, what if I was? What if I was there enjoying my time with my girl, huh? Are you saying that that stopped you from talking to me?

– Maybe I don’t exactly want to talk with a slut.

Carmen’s eyes grew big as words left her mouth which was already open. She turned around to leave but stopped midtrack, turning again to face Shane, who was already lighting another cigarrette.

– You know what Shane? I don’t care. I really don’t care what you think at this point and I don’t even know why I came but still there’s one thing I want to know. I want to know why on earth did you ask me to come? Huh? For what? Was it all planned like that night at Nataly’s party? Huh? Should I leave before something happens to me?

Shane looked up hearing that. How dare Carmen to think something like that! of course not! There wasn’t any plan, she just couldn’t stand the sight of her and Papi together, and well didn’t know exactly why. She didn’t have that answer. She didn’t know why she went to pick Carmen up. She didn’t know why there was that anger rising in her stomach, neither why it grew everytime she saw Papi.

– What?! There’s no plan –She said hurriedly- I just- I thought that –silence again- I don’t know. –She said solemnly, looking down-
