Surprisingly, the idea of being taken into custody wasn’t upsetting. It was such an absurd outcome to the last hour that she started laughing.
“It’s funny back there?” Officer Pietrowski turned his eyes from the road for a second to speak to her.
She looked at him and smirked. “It is. Farcical, you might say.”
The cops looked at each other nervously. They didn’t want a scene and inappropriate laughter from someone in handcuffs was never a good sign.
“So what was going on at that hospital? You and that woman?” Officer Deanna Flores stared straight ahead, but asked.
“At the door? That was my partner, Tina. Kennard–the patient that I was supposedly disrupting. She’s been very ill. Today was the first day she got to leave the Head and Trauma Center and we spent the day together. We had a wonderful day, went back to our home, took a nap, overslept, and didn’t get back to the Center at our agreed upon time, so the state appointed Medical Power of Attorney got pissed and she called you.”
“You mean guardian?”
“No, I mean Medical Power of Attorney. My partner is competent and can make decisions for herself. This woman, Heather Nicastro. . .in one day. . . has encroached, been-been obstructive, treated my girlfriend and me like we’re twelve, and-and has failed miserably in her role to help and assist.”
“Not again?” the Pietrowski said.
“When is Nicastro going to learn?” Flores said.
Bette readjusted her ass on the seat. She leaned in. “What?”
“It’s Saturday,” Officer Flores continued, ignoring Bette.
“Yeah, so we do this paperwork? I’m getting sick of her crap,” Pietrowski said. The two were conversing in low tones and Bette stretched her neck to hear. She looked from one to the other.
“You know what she has? She has that ‘wait until Dad gets home mentality.’ We’re Dad. She doesn’t want to deal with her problems, so she calls us to just take it away.”
“And what are always the first words out of her mouth—‘I’m not even supposed to be working now; I’m not on-duty.’ She gets ticked cause she’s been called away from her– whatever the hell she does on her off time and somebody’s gotta suffer.”

I’m really pleased to see a new chapter so soon. Excellent plan by Shane and Carmen to get Al and Dana back together. I have a good feeling that it’ll work. Dylan and Hels, what can I say? They’re hot. I dunno how they’re going to get rid of Danny completely, but I’d think besting him would be easy, because he’s a complete idiot. Can’t the Peabody billions just hire a couple of thugs to muscle his sorry behind out of LA? Bette and Tina: Eureka! I think Porter’s got it! I cannot *wait* for Nicastro, Colley, Marcos and any other hatahs to get put in their place. And last but not least, you actually made me like Henry. Maybe it’s Christmas cheer, maybe it’s that you gave him a heart. Either way, I’m very glad you posted, great chapter, and dare I ask that you post again soon? Why yes. Yes, I do. Shane covered her mouth with her hand to keep from laughing. When she was six or seven, she thought that the words lavatory and laboratory were the same words. Her father had caught her with a glass Pyrex dish and a steak knife in the bathroom on her knees, pulling her poop out of the toilet to begin some experiments in her laboratory. She recalled that her dad threw away the baking dish. – LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicastro has got to GO! At least Bette got the ok from Henry to see Tina and that Bette is working on a plan. Helena and Dylan was freakin’ HOT!!!!!!!

The day seemed to end too perfect for B&T what drama do you have planned next? I just want Tina to get better and get up out of that hospital real soon. Stephanie is going to get the help she needs in jail if she keep taking that man’s money. Thank you for another wonderful chapter.
What a brilliant chapter. I’m glad that Bette didn’t end up in the slammer! I can’t believe that Whit wouldn’t have thought of the new Power of Attorney if that was plausable…I’m not seeing that as a viable option,,,get to the retreat, Bette!
