Bette tried to push by the cops to get to Tina. Before she could get two steps, Bette was whipped around and handcuffs snapped around her wrists.
“That’s it.” The smaller of the two cops, pushed her forward. “You have the right to remain silent. . .” Bette turned to see Tina standing at the door, looking distraught with tears rolling down her face. The taller cop placed his hand on the top of her head and situated her in the back of the police car.
Shit. Fuck, Bette thought.

Chapter 20a
6:30pm
Bette sat in the back of the patrol car fuming. Who the fuck did these people think they were? She turned and looked out of the back window at the Center about half a block away. Being in handcuffs prevented her from using her phone to call Kit or Theresa or any of her friends to meet her at the station. She was wasting time when there was much to do. After she made bail. . . . Oh, my God, she thought, I’m thinking like a career criminal—after I make bail. Shit, this is not what was supposed to happen. But, she did think–after she made bail, the first priority would be to get Tina out of the Center. If that meant a competency hearing or a lawsuit, she was going to put Whit to work immediately.
Bette was keeping a list: Stephanie Kennard, Roberta Colley, Henry McPherson, Judge Marcos, and now this bitch, Heather Nicastro. All of these people were going to pay for the way they had behaved with the Porter-Kennard family. They were all going to fucking pay. The Center might as well close its doors because Bette, at this moment had every intention of filing lawsuit after lawsuit and keeping them in court for years. It would be her mission. And those two LA County employees—Colley and Nicastro—Bette was going to have their jobs. As for Stephanie, she’d get hers in an appropriate way—what goes around, comes around; karma, baby; next life despair. Bette was a strong believer in karma because she had been a witness to how her past misdeeds could wreck havoc on a life.

I’m really pleased to see a new chapter so soon. Excellent plan by Shane and Carmen to get Al and Dana back together. I have a good feeling that it’ll work. Dylan and Hels, what can I say? They’re hot. I dunno how they’re going to get rid of Danny completely, but I’d think besting him would be easy, because he’s a complete idiot. Can’t the Peabody billions just hire a couple of thugs to muscle his sorry behind out of LA? Bette and Tina: Eureka! I think Porter’s got it! I cannot *wait* for Nicastro, Colley, Marcos and any other hatahs to get put in their place. And last but not least, you actually made me like Henry. Shane covered her mouth with her hand to keep from laughing. When she was six or seven, she thought that the words lavatory and laboratory were the same words. Her father had caught her with a glass Pyrex dish and a steak knife in the bathroom on her knees, pulling her poop out of the toilet to begin some experiments in her laboratory. She recalled that her dad threw away the baking dish. – LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicastro has got to GO! At least Bette got the ok from Henry to see Tina and that Bette is working on a plan. Helena and Dylan was freakin’ HOT!!!!!!!

The day seemed to end too perfect for B&T what drama do you have planned next? I just want Tina to get better and get up out of that hospital real soon. Stephanie is going to get the help she needs in jail if she keep taking that man’s money. Thank you for another wonderful chapter.
What a brilliant chapter. I’m glad that Bette didn’t end up in the slammer! I can’t believe that Whit wouldn’t have thought of the new Power of Attorney if that was plausable…I’m not seeing that as a viable option,,,get to the retreat, Bette!
