I don’t know. You tell me.
TINA
(inhales and exhales deeply) (sips her coffee)
Are you still seeing Jodi?
BETTE
(incredulous) This is about Jodi.
TINA
Just answer the question.
BETTE
For your information, although it’s really none of your business, yes, I’m still seeing Jodi. Why do you ask?
TINA
You’re still seeing Jodi.
BETTE
What is, what is this about?
TINA
But you were…
BETTE
What?!
TINA
You were…you were fucking Shane last night.
BETTE
Who told you that?
(disbelief)
Did Shane tell you that?
TINA
No.
BETTE
(demanding)
Then who told you that?
(beat)
TINA looks down into her cup of coffee, looks back up at BETTE.
TINA
I heard it.
BETTE
(louder)
What!?
TINA
It was a mistake. I came by to pick up Angelica’s paperwork, let myself in, and I heard you guys.
BETTE
You were listening.
TINA
No…I mean, I guess, sort of.
BETTE
I can’t believe this. Were you like, listening at the door or something? Did Angelica hear?
TINA
No. No. I wasn’t…she was…I wasn’t…she was in the car.
BETTE
Jesus, Tina! Does anyone else know?
TINA
I had to talk to someone about it.
BETTE
Please tell me you didn’t tell Alice.
TINA
I’m sorry.
BETTE
Great. This is fucking great. I can’t believe…
JENNY enters TINA’S office without knocking.
TINA
What!
TINA composes herself.
TINA
I mean, what do you want?
JENNY
You do realize you were supposed to be on set fifteen minutes ago. You are holding us up. Let’s go Tina. Time is money.
BETTE looks back and forth between TINA and JENNY like “what the fuck is going on?”
TINA
I have to go Bette, but we can finish talking about this later. Please get Angelica. I’m going to be here late.
JENNY
Hi Bette.
BETTE
Jenny.
INTERIOR-THE PLANET-AFTERNOON
ALICE is at a table looking at The Chart, debating whether or not to directly connect SHANE and BETTE. She looks up, sees SHANE enter The Planet, quickly thinks better of it and deletes the connection, puts down her laptop screen.
ALICE
(high pitched voice, stammering a bit)
Shane. Hi, uh, hey, what’s up.
SHANE sits down.
SHANE
What’s up Alice?
ALICE
What do you mean?
SHANE
You’re voice doesn’t get like that unless something’s up. What’s up?
ALICE
(high-pitched)
Nuh uh.
SHANE
Uh huh, see there it goes again.
ALICE
Nothing, I’m just…working on an article about the ten best books to read while you’re taking a dump. It’s interesting because most of them are children’s books, because they’re like shorter you know.
SHANE
Gross. But…enlightening.
ALICE
Anyway, how are you?
SHANE
I’m fine, Alice.
ALICE mockingly shakes her head and up and down.
ALICE
Really?
SHANE
Yeah.
ALICE
(raises one eyebrow)
How fine?
SHANE
I’m fine, Alice.
ALICE
That’s all.
SHANE
Should there be something else?
ALICE
I don’t know, you tell me.
SHANE
I saw Carmen last night.
ALICE
She came by?
SHANE
Yeah…it was pretty weird.
ALICE
I bet. So…
SHANE
I don’t know. It was just, it was weird seeing after all this time has passed.
ALICE
Yeah. So anything else.
SHANE
No Alice, that’s it. I’m going to go get some coffee
ALICE
(lifts her laptop screen,goes back to her typing) (under her breath)

So…how long before Carmen finds out? And what will be the final outcome here? Lotsa irons in the fire now–what’s gonna happen with Max & Dax? So intriguing, this little story of yours!
The cast gets bigger and bigger. So when does We-Ho get the buzz about B&S.
