Just The Girl – Chapter Two (a HYD-inspired fic)

"TINA!!!" Finally, the blonde saw her. A brunette with a goofy wide smile plastered on her face jumped up to catch her attention.

"Oh my God!" Tina exclaimed happily as she ran over to meet a good friend from back home in North Carolina. "Dana!" She said as she hugged the brunette. "What are you doing here?"

Dana stepped back and motioned towards her uniform with a giddy smile on her face. "I just transferred here two days ago. I’m going to attend this school too."

Dana’s attire finally registered inside Tina’s brain.. how could she have missed the fact that they both had the same uniform on? "That’s so nice to hear! God, I’m so happy that you’re here Dane." Tina smiled sincerely. "Wait a minute.. what happened to your ranch?" She asked as she remembered the Fairbanks’ family business.

"Oh, we sold it." Dana grinned. "You won’t believe this.. but it turns out that the crummy piece of land we inherited from Uncle Bill was chock full of oil deposits." She laughed a little as she hooked her arm on Tina’s and gently walked with her towards the entrance of the main school building. "Long story short, my family’s loaded now." Dana continued as Tina tried to absorb everything. "We are what the snobs call, New Money." Dana shrugged and smiled.

Tina merely shook her head and laughed at her friend’s good fortune. "Wow. Just wow Dane."

The two friends laughed together as they caught up with the happenings in each others lives. Tina offered to escort Dana to the Headmistresses Office on the third floor, and in return, the brunette promised to buy her friend a cup of iced coffee from one of the food carts on their way to homeroom.

    ————————–

"So why are we in school early today?" Shane yawned as the foursome went up the stairs. "Homeroom hasn’t even started yet." She mumbled.

Sam merely grunted as she pointed her thumb at Bette and Alice.

"What? We need to be here early to put up this little red tag inside the locker of Alice’s freshman friend." Bette stuck her hand out to Alice as the blonde handed her the infamous red paper.

    1. Trust me, this story kicks so much ass. Some of you all know how much I tend to dislike long chapters, but this is the kind of story that if it was a book I wouldn’t be able to put it down until my eyes were unable to stay open.

    2. I don’t want Sam to get Tina because I think Bette needs Tina to show her what is really important. Plus c’mon Tina needs a woman with fire in her. Can’t wait to see the drama unfold.
