Just The Girl – Chapter Two (a HYD-inspired fic)
CHAPTER TWO: Over A Cup Of Coffee
Inside the VIP room of Ether, a popular lesbian club in West Hollywood, four friends (and a temporary girlfriend who tagged along) were huddled inside a booth exclusively reserved for them each and every night. Tonight was a school night, but that never stopped F4 from partying until the wee hours of the morning. Although a sheer white curtain barely shielded them from the curious stares of the other patrons, the presence of two huge security guards dressed in suits gave the group of friends the privacy that they enjoyed. The fact that they were still in high school and relatively underage did nothing to prevent them from enjoying quite a few alcoholic drinks. Money spoke volumes and blurred a lot of boundaries in this town.
"Will you please stop doing that?" Bette glared at her bestfriend as Sam opened and closed her flip-phone for the nth time now.
"Sorry." Sam sighed and threw the phone on top of the table as she leaned back into the couch.
Shane looked away from her current flavor of the week – Jessie.. Jerica.. Jessica or something – and flashed a reassuring smile in Sam’s direction. "You know, I’m sure she’s just a little busy packing and stuff," Shane took a swig from her beer and shrugged. "I’m sure she’ll call you soon." She said before turning her full attention back to her skimpy dressed date, whispering to her ear and placing small kisses on her exposed neck.
"Yeah, I agree with Shane," Alice leaned forward and rested her elbows on the table as she held her head on her hands. "So can you please stop being your spoil-sporty boring self and at least pretend like your having fun while in the presence of friends?"
Sam cracked a small smile and took a sip from her wine. "I am having fun Al." She said as she played with the glass in her hand.
Alice shook her head and smiled. "Yeah right Sammy. Your constant yawning says otherwise."
Bette laughed a little as she piped in, "Leave her alone Al. You know she has a sleeping disorder." She leaned back on the sofa and took a sip from her drink. "Plus, she’s narcoleptic too."

I don’t know why, but I hope Bette gets the girl (Tina). Tina should be able to soften her.
interesting… i like your tina… abd bette looks like she needs to be brought down a few pegs… PPS
Trust me, this story kicks so much ass. Some of you all know how much I tend to dislike long chapters, but this is the kind of story that if it was a book I wouldn’t be able to put it down until my eyes were unable to stay open.
I don’t want Sam to get Tina because I think Bette needs Tina to show her what is really important. Plus c’mon Tina needs a woman with fire in her. Can’t wait to see the drama unfold.
uh oh run Tina run lol!
“Because I’m the one who will take the mighty Bette Porter down to her knees,” Tina half-grinned.
The gauntlet has been thrown. Watch out Bette!
