Just The Girl – Chapter Five (a HYD-inspired fic)
She stopped just outside the door with a ’4-B’ sign on top as she tried to compose herself. She was sure her classmates wouldn’t try the same prank twice, so from the moment she got out of bed and up until this point, she had been racking her brain for possible torture scenarios. She wanted to be prepared, she wanted to be a step ahead from the other students. Tina closed her eyes as she tried to envision just what her classmates had in store for her now. A water bucket falling on my head as I open the door? Thumbtacks on my chair? Glue on my seat? Paper balls thrown my way? What?! Tina’s imagination went into overdrive. Whatever, she sighed a minute later, bring it on you spoiled snobs. She pushed down the handle and gently kicked the door with her foot. She stepped back a little to see if something would fall down. Seeing none, she took the few tentative steps towards the classroom. She looked around her as her classmates sat there gossiping with one another, totally ignoring their new homeroom teacher who was announcing some things in front. Not that the teacher seemed to mind though. She had that resigned expression on her face that said just how much she was used in receiving little or no respect from her rich students. Tina was feeling a little nervous.. once again her classmates ignored her presence. There wasn’t even a slew of paper balls going her way. They must have something big planned, Tina narrowed her eyes as she continued her journey to her desk beside the window. She was half-expecting to see thumbtacks or glue on her chair.. only.. there wasn’t even a chair or a desk there in the first place. "What the?" Tina whispered as she looked around the classroom for her desk. She looked towards the back of the room to see if they put it there. Nope, not there. No sign of even the usual spare desk.
So they probably threw it out, Tina sighed, these assholes. Just then she felt someone staring at her. She turned her head just in time to meet Dana’s eyes. Deja vu, Tina thought, are you going to turn around again Dana? She tilted her head to see if her "friend" would do just that. She didn’t. The brunette actually held on to Tina’s gaze. Dana quickly looked up at the ceiling and back down again to Tina, as if prodding the blonde to do the same. Tina furrowed her brows as her eyes slowly made their journey to the ceiling.
Well I certainly didn’t see that one coming, she thought as she saw what Dana wanted her to see. There, bolted upside down on the ceiling, was her desk and her chair. She tilted her head to the side to read the words spray painted on her desk. "I’ll turn your world upside down." She whispered as she read the words to herself. A familiar set of initials were signed underneath. BP.
That was clever Porter, Tina thought as she defiantly sat down on the floor where her desk should have been. "I’m so ready for you." She said, her eyes glinting.

Bette needs a taste of her own medicine and I think she has met her match in Tina Kennard.
