Shaking her head amidst sounds of the blonde’s happy chewing, Sam disappeared inside the bathroom – only to reappear after a second. “Hold up!” She yelled, stopping Alice mid-bite.

“What?”

“W-where did you get that?” Sam gulped, staring at the food in Alice’s hand.

“Oh this? From here..” The blonde pointed to an empty white box by her feet, a red ribbon dangling loosely from its sides. “It’s hard as rock but its pretty tasty. Want the last one?” She graciously offered it to her friend.

Sam paled at the vision, feeling the contents of her stomach regurgitating. “Alice!” She cried out, her jaw dropping down in horror. “Those brownies were Bette’s gift for Tina!” She growled in a low voice, careful not to make too much noise since their leader and her girlfriend were sleeping in the adjacent room. Fearing that Tina would find the brownies inside the kitchen, Bette had given it to her for safekeeping. She hid it behind her container of wheat grass, thinking that Tina didn’t like that stuff and wouldn’t come near it. But dammit, she should have thought of Alice too!

“Oh shit.” Alice’s eyes went as wide as Sam’s. Fuck, now she wanted to throw up. “Sammy, I swear I didn’t know.. I thought it was a gift from another one of your hardcore fangirls..” She whimpered, her face ridden with guilt and fear.

Biting on a fist, Sam stifled a frustrated yell. Once Bette finds out about this, Alice was not the only one who’d get the shaft – her too. She was partly to blame, Bette had entrusted the present to her. Struggling to regulate her breathing, she willed herself to calm down and start thinking of a way to get them out of the huge mess they were in. The answer came to her after a moment or two. “Where’s Shane?” She asked the shaking blonde, who was rocking on the floor looking like she was about to break down.

Fighting back tears, Alice replied. “Over at another sorority party, shacking up with twins.”

Taking out her cellphone from within her purse, Sam threw it to her friend. “Call her up and tell her to come home. We have work to do.”
