Those are Hawaiian Monk Seals. I read about them in the airplane magazine on the way over. Gosh, they are so beautiful.

Bette leaned in and placed a loving kiss on Tinas soft lips before reaching down and grabbing Tinas hand. Their fingers intertwined and they walked toward the parking lot of the lighthouse. Once back in the car, they continued their journey down the highway and toward the Princeville hotel. Beaming with broad smiles on their faces, wind blowing in their hair and the sun shining down on them, they drove toward the north shore of the island and to their hotel. As they pulled up to the lobby of the hotel, they were amazed. There, tucked away on the north shore of Kauai was a palace on the sea.
