Bette has oatmeal and a glass of orange juice and a half of a bagel.  Tina also gave her a vitamin and another Tylenol. Tina says, “ My little sleepy head let me give you your massage so you can go back to sleep.”  Bette says, “Okay Mommy! And swats Tina on the tushie.” 

When Bette gets into bed she notices that the linens have been changed.  “Tee why didn’t you call me I would have helped you change the sheets?”  Tina says, “It’s all right.  I wanted to do it right away.  Next time we’ll change them together.”  After Bette’s massage Tina hands Bette her freshly laundered blue and white striped pajamas.  Bette stands up and puts her head on Tina’s shoulder and says sleepily, “Baby thank you for taking such good care of me.  I love you Tee.”  Smiling shyly Tina says, “Thank you.  Bette I love taking care of you.”  Tina kisses Bette sweetly on the lips and then helps Bette put on her pajamas.  After tucking Bette in, Tina brings the covers up to Bette’s neck and bends down and kisses her lovingly on the forehead.  Within minutes Bette is fast asleep.

***CHAPTER TWELVE***

***MALIBU BEACH HOUSE – 3:00pm –

Kit is the first to arrive.  She has her ‘Mr. Cute Bootie Man’ with her.  His name is Angus Partridge and he’s a songwriter, guitarist and all-around nice guy.  He seems to really dig Kit.  The only down side is Kit’s old enough to be his mother.  Tina says to Kit in private, “You go girl!”  Kit laughs.

Kit and Angus tell Tina they are blown away by the house.  Tina said.  “I’ll take everyone on a tour later.”  Kit asks, “Where’s Bette?”  Tina says, “You mean Sleeping Beauty?”  Tina explains.  “Bette’s slept a total of three hours in the last two days.  She just crashed and burned at about 5:00AM this morning.  I made her take a shower and eat breakfast at about 11:00AM, and she’s still asleep.  Kit she is so funny when she’s tired.  She acts like a child.  The mighty Bette Porter.”  

“Angus could you do me a favor?”  Angus nods ‘Yes.’  Tina starts, “Bette was going to make Sangria, and that’s not going to happen.  Could you make it for her?”  Angus says, “No problem,” and goes to the bar to start preparing the Sangria.
