I’ll Never Leave You, I’ll Always Love You 1
Shane was starting to put the pieces together, ” And you’re worried about Alice”.
Dana’s tears began to fall harder, “We’ve been really good Shane, I love her so much, I don’t think I can leave her again. The first time I did that, it was really fucked up Shane. I can’t hurt her again. I can’t live without her”.
Shane hugged Dana a little harder, ” Dane, I’m pretty sure being away for a few weeks or even a month or two would do that. Alice understands, she’s always understood Dane”.
Dana looked up right into Shane’s eyes, ” It’s for a year Shane”.
Shane let go of Dana and her eyes widened a little more, all she could say was, ” *****”.
—————-
When Dana got home that night she saw Alice in her room unpacking some bags from Dana’s last tour, ” Hey Baby! How was training today?”
Dana couldn’t help but smile at her girlfriend, Alice always did everything right for her. She always knew when to unpack Dana’s things and where to put them, she always knew what to ask when Dana came home looking tire as *****, she always just knew. Dana instinctively walked up to her from behind and wrapped her arms around Alice who stopped and turned around in her girlfriend’s arms, ” I missed you today”.
Alice smiled and softly kissed Dana on the lips, ” I missed you too”. Alice noticed something in Dana’s eyes, a worried look, tired and stressed, ” Is everything ok Dane?”
Dana closed her eyes and nuzzled into Alice’s neck, ” Can we talk about it later? I just wanna hold you right now”.
Alice found herself becoming a bit more worried, but she knew that whenever Dana asked for some time, it meant Dana really did need some time, ” Ok Baby, let’s go to the bed”.
Alice laid Dana down, who looked exhausted, and then went to lie down beside her. As soon as Alice was on the bed Dana wrapped her arms around her and kissed her neck softly. Alice, who had a million things going through her head at this moment, held onto Dana as tight as she possibly could, never wanting to let her go. Alice knew Dana was her soul mate, and because they were soul mates, Alice could feel her heart breaking just as Dana’s was. She didn’t know what to think, did it have to do with her family, her friends, work, or was it her? The last couple of months have been really good between them. The 6 months they spent apart after their first break up did them some good, it gave them time to realize that they truly were meant to be together.
Dana’s head had been spinning all day long, but it wasn’t until this very moment where she was close to the love of her life, that she started to feel calm, as if this was where she belonged. If only she could decide what to do now. Should she leave Alice for a year to make her dream come true? Or should she stay and live the life of love with her soul mate? Either way she was going to lose. If she left, even though Alice would promise to wait for her, Dana couldn’t possibly expect her to wait a whole year. And if she stayed, her career would be out the door, and there would be a chance where Alice could possibly blame herself for it.
Dana looked at Alice who now had her back facing Dana, and kissed her hair softly, ” Alice?”
Alice turned around and faced Dana who had tears in her eyes, ” Baby, why are you crying?” she asked as she wiped the tears away.
Dana smiled through the pain and softly ran her thumb across Alice’s lip, ” You’re just so beautiful”.
Alice forced a small smile, ” well aren’t we feeling romantic?”
Dana scooted down so that they were now exactly face to face and merely a breath apart, ” I love you so much Alice”.
Alice looked deep into Dana’s eyes and there wasn’t one ounce of doubt in them, ” I love you too baby, more than anything”.
Dana smiled and then closed her eyes and lay closer to Alice. Alice just looked at her girlfriend, there was something wrong and she knew it. When Alice looked down at Dana she saw tears running down her cheeks softly, she lovingly wiped them away and held Dana tighter. Alice was really scared now, but right now, she knew Dana was beyond that.
After a few minutes Alice looked back down to Dana who was clearly asleep, the tears had finally stopped, but then Alice felt her tears start. She hugged Dana tightly and closed her eyes, she softly whispered, “Don’t leave me, I love you so much”.
