Carmen’s wide smile faded when she noticed that there was obviously something wrong with Dana, ” Hey Dana, I’m good thanks, come in, Shane’s in the bedroom, I’ll go get her for you”.

All Dana could do was nod and walk right to the couch and sit down with her head hanging, how else could she keep it up with all these thoughts on her mind.

Carmen walked into the room where Shane was just tidying up the bed, when she saw Carmen she looked up and smiled, ” Who was at the door baby?”

Carmen walked over to Shane and took the bed sheets from her, ” It’s Dana, I think something’s wrong, go talk to her”.

Shane didn’t say anything when she left the room, all she did was give her girlfriend a kiss on the forehead and headed out where she saw Dana with her head in her hands, ” Hey Dane, what’s up?”

Dana looked up at Shane, ” Shane, I have a really big problem, if you have time you think we could maybe talk for a little while”.

Shane noticed that this was BIG, Dana wasn’t acting like herself, usually when she had a problem she’d be fidgeting around more or at least she would have had some goofy look on her face, but this time she looked as white as a ghost, and that scared Shane, ” Come out to the back, I got some beers in the cooler”.

Once they got outside Dana sat down and Shane walked over to her with 2 beers in her hands, ” so what’s this problem?”

Dana’s eyes began to tear as she spoke,” SHane, I really don’t know what to do”.

Shane put an arm around Dana, ” it’s ok, I’m pretty sure we can fix whatever it is”.

Dana swallowed hard, ” I got a call from my manager and the president of Subaru this morning, they said that I’m gonna be playing in Wimbledon”.

Shane smiled and instinctively hugged Dana, ” That’s great Dane!”

Dana didn’t seem too happy, ” I know it’s my dream, but the thing is, they want me to do really well, and in order to do that I have to train a lot harder, and I’ll have to leave for a while”.
