She stopped what she was doing. She had the awful feeling she was being watched. She lifted her head and looked in the mirror….

‘What the fuck’ She shouted, spinning around and looking towards the back wall.

She noticed the mirror. The long full length mirror, had been opened like a door. It must be a secret passage….But that wasn’t the reason she had spun around. No, there was something that had made her heart jump and her blood boil…

There Tina stood, looking into the eyes of a someone. Some one she had hated for a very long time. Some one who, from time to time she would think of with a streak of hatred and loathing….

There she stood looking into the cold eyes of Candace Jewell….

They stood looking at each other. Neither moving an inch. Candace’s face looked more shocked than anything. As though she hadn’t expected Tina to be there. Tina on the other hand had a face like thunder. If her eyes could kill, Candace’s skin would be ripped off and her limbs would be plucked out of their sockets ….. one by one.

It was Candace that spoke first.

‘Hello Tina’ she said.

Tina didn’t speak. Instead she stepped forward and slapped Candace hard across the face.

‘What the fuck are you doing here?’ she shouted.

Candace lifted her head. She brought her left hand up to rub her cheek, which was now streaked with red finger marks.

‘That’s no way to greet your host’ Candace told her, a hint of amusement in her voice.

Tina thought for a second. Her eyebrows raised as she realised what Candace was saying…

‘You. You were the one that invited us? You’re C.C. Forrester?’

‘Well yea. Obviously I had to change the name. You would never have come if I had put my real name on the end of the letter.’

Tina couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She knew something like this was going to happen. It was bad enough that this place was haunted, but to have the woman that almost ruined her world come back into their lives again was beyond understandable.
