    Tina!!!??

    What…oh yea…sorry. Tina smiled. Well, lets see…her story…well, I think I told you years ago that Susan was very much like you…a dirty bisexual, as well as a major, roger dodger smart *****. And, as far as I know, right now…

    Alice interrupted before Tina could get anymore out. Good God Tina! Who actually says major, roger dodger? For Gods sake, what does that even mean?!

    Tina giggled as Alice slapped her hands against her thighs in punctuation. I dont know who says it. I just know that I heard it somewhere and it stuck with me. And, it means just what you think it means….that something is not just big…its BIG…MAJOR…ROGER DODGER…BIG! Get it?

    Alice just shook her head. Ok fine. So, shes a BIG smart *****, and a BIG dirty bisexual. All of a sudden, Alice became shy, and looked down it the floor. So, is she…?
    It was Tinas turn to put her arm around her friend. Yeah Al, shes single…and…I just happen to know that she is a big fan of yours.

    Alice raised her eyebrows and gulped. She is?

    Just then the two women heard Bettes unmistakable laugh floating across the room. They both turned to look at her. Alice smiled, forgetting for a moment what they had just been talking about. You know, she really has become the person she always wanted to be. I mean, she was this person before, but somewhere along the way, she let society start dictating how she should live, what kind of person she should be. If she had just stuck with what her heart was telling her…maybe things would have been different. She gently squeezed Tinas shoulder. But, hey…thats all in the past. Just look at her now…

    Tina and Alice watched in silence as Bette laughed with her friends, reaching out and touching an arm here, giving a warm hug there…embracing all the people she and Nica had come to know so well over the last fourteen years.

    As they watched, Alice barely whispered… God, she was born for this.

    Tinas throat clamped shut and her body tensed upon hearing Alices declaration, feeling the trickling of dread inching its way down her spine. Oh my God…shes right…look at her. She is so comfortable here….with these people…in this place. Tina thought back to their years in LA, and couldnt remember a time when Bette looked this at ease in the middle of a large party that she was hosting. In all the years that she had owned her gallery in LA, and then during the many functions Bette had organized for the CAC, Tina was the only person who had been able to look at Bette, and immediately sense that a part of her wanted to be somewhere else. That, for as much as she was in her element, organizing and hosting these parties…and arguably she was one of the best…there had always been a sliver of her, that wanted to be out of the limelight…that need to flee…to escape to somewhere safe, away from all the prying eyes. The fact that Tina had figured that out about her within the first three months of their relationship, had always astounded Bette. She thought she was a master at hiding that part of herself.

    2. sea, fan-those who enjoy something with passion fiction- any concept any storyline that you as a writer can imagine or create!!!i have not eve read yours today, but i know for sure that i have enjoyed every word of it since the beginning(and cas i have told you before!)!!there are so many stories to be told here, and so many directions, turns , twists and plots that will happen as you continue.please never get discouraged as you are a fabulous writer. there are some of us who enjoy “if it is meant to be” not only as a b@t storyline but simply because it is a good story. your #1 fan!!!(can you tell?)

    8. I really want Tina and Bette to be together. I agree that they need to talk to each other about their fears. That is the only way to move past them. I am a native of NYC. My wife & I met in NYC. I lived in the Bronx. Believe me if Tina & the children decide to move there they will have fun. Write soon

    25. First: I liked your previous “stand alone-jumbling-thought” chapter. Jumble on girl!

      I agree completely – sometimes we need an escape route from what is going on in our world. You can make me wet anytime – with that bucket of mush of course!
      You might be proud to be a pabulum type of writer but I have to disappoint you Sea – your writing is everything but simplistic and your ideas are not unimaginative.
      As for your distraction syndrome: avoid all shellfish, mollusks, seahorses and marine animals from now till the next chapter – think creatures with 4 legs or wings (like burgers and hot-dogs)

    31. Yay…she’s back and with another great chapter. I know you will guide B and T through the turbulent waters safely. I agree with others, maybe NY should be the place for them for a while. Any way no matter where you take us/them I am along for the ride! I think the “mush” is what is needed now so thanks!

    40. ah Tina wakes up???!!!!Once again, Bette has been turning herself inside out (e.g. horrible job at CAC) to meet T’s needs…what about Bette’s creative needs??? Tina has vested hers in her children, Art and Artists are Bette’s children…jmho
