    Chapter 76

    Tina looked over and watched her three children as they were gathered around Bette, the four of them talking about something that had them all in giggles. And, although she was still confused and more than a little scared about what was going on with her beautiful partner, she couldnt help the smile that played at the corners of her mouth, knowing that because of her relationship with Bette, her children were going to be exposed to so much more of the world.

    When the confetti hit you, the look on yours and Moms face was priceless, MaBe! The group of four started laughing again, as Paul recalled the earlier bombardment Bette and Tina had received at the hands of the Collins trio.

    Bette was loving how Dani and Paul were both now calling her MaBe…a nickname she treasured, as it was a name that had always been said with love…an endearment started by Nica, but one that Milaine had immediately picked up on, and used as her special name for Bette, instead of Mom, or Mother. It saddened her a little bit that Alex was still hesitant to call her that, instead preferring to stick with Bette.

    She took a deep breath and looked down into the conflicted eyes of Tinas youngest child, hoping that some day Alex will be able to let go of the notion that her parents were going to get back together…until then, she let out a big sigh…Bette it is.

    Alex reached over and tugged at Danis sleeve. Come on, lets go play on the computers again. Bette had set up two computers in the back of the gallery, which contained special software that allowed the user to simulated a potters wheel and a paint brush. With the potters wheel, you could see on the screen a wheel with what looked like a lump of clay on it. By holding on to a wand that was connected to the computer, and by moving your fingers up and down, as well as gripping it soft or hard, you could simulate fingers forming the clay into whatever you wanted. With the painting software, you could also hold a wand and paint by mixing colors yourself by touching different colors on the bottom of the screen, then stroking the screen as you would a canvas. Bette learned a few years back that she both needed, and wanted to provide something entertaining for the children of her friends and clients, so that they would enjoy the evening as much as their parents.

    2. sea, fan-those who enjoy something with passion fiction- any concept any storyline that you as a writer can imagine or create!!!i have not eve read yours today, but i know for sure that i have enjoyed every word of it since the beginning(and cas i have told you before!)!!there are so many stories to be told here, and so many directions, turns , twists and plots that will happen as you continue.please never get discouraged as you are a fabulous writer. there are some of us who enjoy “if it is meant to be” not only as a b@t storyline but simply because it is a good story. your #1 fan!!!(can you tell?)

    8. I really want Tina and Bette to be together. I agree that they need to talk to each other about their fears. That is the only way to move past them. I am a native of NYC. My wife & I met in NYC. I lived in the Bronx. Believe me if Tina & the children decide to move there they will have fun. Write soon

    25. First: I liked your previous “stand alone-jumbling-thought” chapter. Jumble on girl!

      I agree completely – sometimes we need an escape route from what is going on in our world. You can make me wet anytime – with that bucket of mush of course!
      You might be proud to be a pabulum type of writer but I have to disappoint you Sea – your writing is everything but simplistic and your ideas are not unimaginative.
      As for your distraction syndrome: avoid all shellfish, mollusks, seahorses and marine animals from now till the next chapter – think creatures with 4 legs or wings (like burgers and hot-dogs)

    31. Yay…she’s back and with another great chapter. I know you will guide B and T through the turbulent waters safely. I agree with others, maybe NY should be the place for them for a while. Any way no matter where you take us/them I am along for the ride! I think the “mush” is what is needed now so thanks!

    40. ah Tina wakes up???!!!!Once again, Bette has been turning herself inside out (e.g. horrible job at CAC) to meet T’s needs…what about Bette’s creative needs??? Tina has vested hers in her children, Art and Artists are Bette’s children…jmho
