    I wish… CH 2

     

    It was hours later when Tina finally moved from the edge of the bed. She noticed Angelica curled up asleep in her crib, and covered her gently with a blanket. Tina stared at her daughter who resembled Bette so much, and as the tears trailed copiously down her cheeks she silently apologized to her daughter for making her Mama go way.

    Tina made her way to the bathroom. She quietly closed the door and leaned heavily against it. In the hours that had passed since she read Bette’s final words to her, she had experienced a multitude of emotions.

    The hurt had been the first to assault her. Hurt that Bette wanted to be rid of her and Angelica and any memory of them. Then a violent angry wave rode over her. How dare she! How dare she just conveniently and unemotionally walk away. Run away was the bitter thought. She always took the easy way out, didn’t talk when it got hard, didn’t share her feelings if they were hard to deal with, didn’t take the blame when she should have.

    Tina stood in shock leaning against the door. How could she? How could she just leave like that?

    Then the truth came.

    How could she not? After all that Tina had done to her to get back at her for her affair. After rubbing Helena in her face, after humiliating her with Henry, after the cruelty she had bestowed at ever turn, at every word Bette tried to offer. How far away Tina had pushed her, physically and emotionally, and then would pull her in again at a whim, only to thrust her away again after she got what she wanted from her. How inexplicably hurt she must be right now after the events of this weekend after Tina had so brutally but figuratively ripped their daughter out of her arms and her life.

    "Oh god, what have I done?"

    Tina pressed her hands hard into the sides of her head, and slowly collapsed down onto the bathroom floor. Her pain, due to her own selfish actions was far above the pain Bette had ever caused her. The knowledge that she had forced this action, this finality to their life together was almost more than she could bare. The onset of hysteria had started to build, and it was only the weak cries of her daughter that kept her from crawling into the pit of despair that so desperately was calling out to her.

    2. Well, it may not be quite that simple, but it’s a far better attitude than rubbing your own face in a big pile of poo. Kudos to Tina for having a revelation. The question is: where will this revelation do to the both of them?

    6. Resolve can be strong in the first few hours of making a life changing decision…but then it weakens slowly especially when you can’t fight fate. If Tina has made up her mind that she will not let Bette do this then Bette has a fight on her hands and taking pictures down isn’t gonna change a thing. They do need to talk …REALLY talk knowing they love each other is the easy part communiating is the hard part. Keep posting.

    7. Looks like Tina decided to pay her mental electric bill as the lights finally came on. I have a feeling once this high Bette is on wears off she will crash and it’s going to hurt badly.

    15. But the question is does she really want to live without Tina and does Tina want to live without her Bette? I do hope that in this story they can work through their problems and begin to put those abused pieces of their heart and puzzle back in correct places.

    18. Tina made the mess larger each time she seen Bette, so its her mess to clean up. She has a lot to do will Bette forgive her /or do it just to be near Angie. thanks
