“Geez Bette, who are the Prestons and how do you know them? This is a bit over the top.”
“I helped Richard Preston with an anniversary gift for his wife and some acquisitions of some avant-garde art that he was desperate to have in his collection. Apparently they have quadrupled in value and he is quite happy with me. He keeps offering me comps like this one every so often.”
By the time they reached their suite their luggage had been unpacked and put away. There was chilled champagne fresh fruit and various cheeses spread out on the dining table. A full top shelf bar adorned a corner of the room.
Tina dropped her purse on the entry table and kicked off her shoes as she padded across the thick carpet towards the goodies.
“I could get used to traveling like this with you Porter.”
“Happy to please you.” Bette returned easily, moving into the suite and inspecting the champagne label. “Wow this is good stuff. Shall I pour?”
“By all means, the sooner I get you loosened up the sooner I can seduce you.”
Bette was flustered by the comment and returned it. “I don’t recall needing any help in that area.”
“It’s been awhile.” Tina said in a light tone to keep the communication flowing.
Bette turned and offered her a glass of bubbly. They sipped the cold nectar and both were surprised at the exquisite taste. “Where is the caviar?” Bette joked.
Tina glanced down and sure enough there was a dish on ice of the precious eggs.
“Shit.” Bette exclaimed “This is more than I expected.”
“I would not mind canceling our dinner plans and staying right here.” Tina suggested allowing a hint of desire to escape in her tone. She spread the caviar on a cracker and hand fed it to Bette, allowing her fingers to trace the outline of the lips that she yearned to taste.
Bette closed her eyes at the touch and her breathing became shallow. Tina smiled at the response she got and did not press further lest she scare the brunette away. She spread more caviar on a cracker for herself and reveled in the flavor on her tongue. There was still no comparison to the taste of the brunette but she didn’t expect that there would be. She moved away to the terrace and stood there watching the ocean as it hurried towards the shore crashing against the rocks and the beach. The California coast always mesmerized her. WeHo was close enough for frequent trips to the water but her real desire was to live within its sight.

man that would b great having everything paid for…..and not a dent in ur bank account. I hope there r no further surprises as to who the Prestons are. And man is it gonna be sex already, B’s heart is way to heavy not to mention she is a tad tipsy. I think Bette and Tina belong together, I think Rosanna is the past now.
I still hope Bette makes Tina wait for the goods.(LOL) Talk first, break-up with Ro and then sex with Tina – Or No Tina and go home to Ro.
“As long as the long lingering kiss is on the lips that are not talking right now . . .” Smokin’ dialogue! Like other readers, I just want Bette, Tina, and Ro to be happy in the end. Whether or not that’s achievable remains to be seen.
Oh no. This RoBette shipper is gonna have to read the next chapter with her hands covering her eyes. I have to figure out how to do that. :)
