    Bette finally wakes up and speaks to Kit…Tina thinks they are taking Bette home with them, or she is?

    There was a knock on the door and Lexas head poke thru. Good morning?

    Look who is awake this morning with us. Kit greets Lexa.

    Oh honey, I am so glad to see you alive and kicking. You got us so worried. Lexa shares her excitement. She goes over to Bettes bed and gives her a long hug. She whispers in her ears, I hope you dont mind me calling your sister?

    Bette answers back, No, of course now. I really appreciate it. Besides, it was time that they heard news about me. I was going to call Kit that same afternoon but of course, I didnt get a chance to. What did happen to me?

    Kit and Bette looking at Lexa to fill in the blanks. Well from what R-Leen said, you were on your way to get the ice cream for me when you were kit by an SUV. It was driven by some teenagers joy-riding. They werent paying attention when they hit you. The driver is out on bail right now. Thats the last thing I know.

    Bette remembering, Oh my God, wheres R-Leen. She didnt get hit with me, did she? Where is she?

    Lexa answers, Dont worry, Bette. R-Leen is fine. She stayed with me here in the hospital until Kit and Tina arrived. That was really nice of her.

    I am glad she is ok. She didnt have to come here to the hospital. We just met but Im glad you werent alone, Lexa. Ill have to make sure I thank her before she leaves. Bette makes a mental note.

    Tina walks back into the room. Hey Lexa, nice to see you. I see that you notice our sleeping beauty is awake! Isnt it wonderful?

    Yes it is. I am so glad. I just wanted to say good morning and check up on Bette before I head to the gallery.

    You own a gallery? What a surprise that Bette ends up befriending someone in the art world. You know shes a curator back in California. Shes quite good too. Tina boast.

    Well Bette has been working for me at my gallery so yes, I know first hand how good she is. She didnt share that part of her past with me. Well, if you two ever want to just get some air, why dont you stop by the gallery and say hello. Youll recognize some of Bettes touches in the gallery. Lexa extends an invitation to the California visitors.

    Bette joins the exchange, Yah you should check it out. Shes got a great gallery. Its one of the best Ive seen in a long time. Its one of the best in this area. Im sure youll enjoy yourselves.

    Kit and Tina looks at each other in agreement. We might just take you up on your offer. Deep down inside, both are wondering what it is about this place, St Augustine that Bette decide to settleno hide here from her life in California. Kit knows that there is more going on with Bette than seeing Helena with Tina that made her leave and drop off the face of the earth. Maybe going to this gallery will give her some answersat least, maybe Lexa will provide the missing pieces to what her sister is going through.

    Well, I hope to see you later at the gallery ladiesif not, I will stop by after work to chat with you Bette. Have a good day and I am so glad you are awake, honey. Lexa gives Bette a kiss on the cheek and gives Kit and Tina a hug. Ill see you later.

    Kit looks at Lexa as she walks out the room. She cannot wait to have some private time with this new friend of her sister to find out what has been going on for the past month. Kit failed Bette in these past few months but it will never happen again. She is determined to find out what has been going on with her baby sister and hopefully when she does, shell know how to help and support her to get back to the life she deservesthe life in California with her familyto include her wife and baby.

    2. I like the strength of Kit & Bette’s relationship. It will be interesting to see how Bette responds to Tina finally wanting to include her in her & the baby’s lives. I wonder if R-Leen will make a new appearance. Can’t wait for the next post.

    15. Beauty – two chapters in one morning, and the day is still young! I like that you’re paying so much attention to Kit, who is used too sparingly on TLW, IMHO. I’m eager to hear the conversation between Kit and Lexa, if Lexa’s willing to share what she knows at the risk of losing Bette’s friendship. And way too funny about Tina taking up more space. Bwah! Ya know, as much as I appreciate the steady flow of chapters, make sure you take the time you need. I and the rest of the hyenas can wait!

Yes I was so scared for Bette, but I think she should stay in Florida it seems good for her and Tina thinks she just gonna come crawling back just because she admits shes still in love with Bette, Tina got another thing coming…I do think its gonna be hard to co parent but she should definitely stay please come back and update
