    Hello sex. I am loneliness.

She moaned in approval, “This is much better.” She leaned over me placing the drink back onto the cabinet. “I am sure that this is the best I have ever had,” she whispered huskily. She began to kiss my neck. I couldn’t help but moan. It had been a long time since anyone had kissed me like that. She needed me. I suddenly had become her life line to passion and therefore emotion. We were two women who had lost everything we held dear. She pushed me against the bar. Her hands left a trail of fire I would feel for days afterward. She had pinned me. I tried to turn around so I could touch her. She would have none of that. I let her do what she wanted to me. I understood that she needed to be in control. I let her touch me. I let her taste me.

Soon we had gone from standing up to the floor. The moments and sensations blurred together in a wonderful fury. She took me over an over again. The last time as she pushed me over the edge, I felt her lose control.

I must have passed out. I don’t think there is anyone in the world that could have not passed out in my position. She had left me a shuttering mass of nerves. I was to the point that a simple touch would make me lose myself in passion again.

When I woke up she was sitting on the balcony. She was wearing nothing but one of my white shirts. She had buttoned three of the vital buttons leaving the rest to do as they willed. The darkness of the balmy New York night surrounded her. She was nothing short of a vision.

She must have felt me watching her, “Do you mind if I smoke out here?”

“Go ahead,” I stood up searching for something to put on. I settled on my silk robe that fell at the knee.

She eyed me appreciatively as she took a deep drag of the cigarette. “Will you come join me?” Her voice had returned to the soft tones of the bar. I kind of missed the deep growl.

“I will sit out there with you but I will pass on the smoke.”

    1. Thank you for posting this, it was amazing from the very first word to the last. So many feelings and emotions. As for the erotic part of the story, these lines were the best: “I slid out of the car. I didn’t look to see if she was following me. I got the confirmation I needed as her heels hit the wood of the stairs.” It somehow sounds very sexy, it must be the atmosphere you created with your writing. Once again, thanks for this brilliant story.

    2. Your command of words just takes my breath away. I have never read anything so beautifully written yet heartbreaking at the same time. You my friend are a wonderful writer.

    3. That was achingly sad, yet it was also hopeful…there really are good people out there in the world, who every once in a while show up at just the right time, giving us just what we need. Thank you for this…beautiful.

    4. So V, how’d you get so wounded and jaded. I quite liked the cop. I wish NYC could recruit a few more professors into their ranks, it would do a world of good. I remember seeing one corner a bad guy in Times Square once (back when it was pimpolicious). As a result of the cop adopting the classic “come to papa” pose, like the bad guy was going to jump into his arms, he took several shoots to the jaw. It was kind of like watching Mrs. Peel in The Avengers and thinking “kick him in the nuts, he’s wide open for it”. Oh well, law enforcement 101.

    5. R, NC17? I dunno, but that’s one of the most poetic R/NC17’s I’ve ever read. The atmosphere was palpable. With all the sadness of episode 9 and what’s to come in the remaining season, this rendition of the main character(s) and their struggles (especially Bette here) is a welcome respite. Look forward to the next one.
